Indian Elephant vs Chinese Dragon

People in India need to grow up and learn the real meaning of democracy.

There are numerous threads on Chinese forums on the democracy trend in China, however, about half of threads would have full stop whenever anyone mentions "do we really want a fake democracy like the one in India?"

In a real democracy, the general public should be put into position to share the growth/benefits/freedom/rights of the growth of the country/economy, however the democracy in India is just 100% different.

India feels good for its so called "IT" sector, that is just BS in my mind. If you check the number of patents filed by India, it is even less than half of what Huawei (a major telecommunication company in China) registered. I am doing my PhD in computer science, when was the last time I read a CS science paper by Indian university? I have never read any in fact.

;)

Yea - a cheap Cisco clone is the best thing in China? Never read anything original come out of China at all. Where is the Chinese equivalent of a Tata or Infosys?

Those threads are probably shut down by the Govt.

Biggest difference between a dragon and an elephant? The former is a myth, the second a reality.

.
Are you living in another parallel world? And have many chinese friends just living in your mind?

Oh, banned mumber........ a waste of time.

r u talking abt a famous troll guy who is doing phd in toilets? Oh.banned member. A waste of time

this thread is started by a pakistani... but it has nothing to do with pakistan..
I think.. pakistanies really enjoy when Indians fight with someone ...no matter to whom

I think it has now become the policy of pakistanies to engage indians with some fight... and they really do it when ever they get chance....

lol.. India and china have more friend and less enemy type relationship..

Here is my opinion about the Chinese government system vs democracy system.

1. president election.
Chinese government System wins. The chinese leaders are elected by group of very well educated officials which we haven't seem any bad leadship in china so far.
In the other hand, president of democracy country is elected by all her citizens, I think this isn't that good at all. Even the people with high education in US still voted bad presidents twice in a roll. Can't image what will hapen if the chinese leader is voted by all her people. (most old generation chinese are not well educated.)

2. developments in developing countries.
Chinese government systems wins. Once the chinese government set their goal, they will do it, nothing can stop it. Example, when the chinese government want to build the high speed railraod, and there are some houses block its wall, these houses will be forced to remove. a very small portion of people will be hurt by the government decision, however, a very huge portion of people will be benefits from the decision. So, the system is good all for developing countries. If the same thing happens in democracy countries, it will take a lot of processes and time to get it done, or even never be able to get it done.

3. Freedoms
Democracy system wins. No one will doubt about it I think. However, most people are misunderstood the Freedom in china. These poeple think chinese people have NO freedom at all. but they are wrong, chinese people also have a lot freedom, they can do anything as long as they are not against the government or try to seperate the country. ( i personal think the chinese government is a bit too strict on the interent censors)

4. Corruption.
I think no one wins. I think this is not depends on the government system, but its culture. I think China and Inida is very good example. China is currectly fighting its corruption, Chinese people can report corruption though police office, by phone, or even by the intetnet. the way of report corruption by interent is working pretty well in china now.

I think china and india were starting at the point, but currently the "communist" china is ahead of the "democracy" india. i read some article saying that the "democracy" india have more protential in a long run than china. so we will have to wait and see in the futures.

i am just started learning politics and military. so please correct me if i am wrong. I would also like to hear your opinion. Thanks

Jun,

A democratic process throws up leaders like Obama, Lincoln, Lal Bahadur Shastri and also bad apples like Nixon, G.W.Bush and Deve Gowda. Communist nations have thrown up bad and ruthless leaders like Mao and Stalin. So there is no sure shot. However at least in the American democratic set up and to a lesser extent in the Indian one - the head of govt. reflects the views and ideals of the people.

Development - I agree things would get done faster if there were fewer roadblocks.

Freedom - I guess you are right. Chinese people enjoy considerable freedom.

Another thing is media - Chinese media is usually state-run. While the Indian media can be shrill and jingoistic - it does bring to light a lot more cases and acts as a check against official malpractices.

Corruption is a bane everywhere.

Looking to this article and some red highlighted paragraphs, I can say, whole purpose of posting this article to create a flurry nothing else.

I feel you could have posted article by a simple link, I have seen in one of the Post mods converted the post in a link, because they understood the intension.

Any way I just read the first red line of article and then understood your inferiority complex and frustration...

The article is by TIMES OF INDIA.

KNOWING THAT NOW, who do you think has the inferiority complex??

please, refrain from posting anything from Indian news sources because most of them are pure crap. Times of India especially is one jingoistic newspaper that has nothing to do with news.
