Icewolf clearly doesn't understand economics.

A falling rupee, makes things produced in India cheaper. And thus people around the world will find Indian products to be cheaper and thus by them more and thus boosting the Indian economy.

China and Japan on purpose devalue their currency so their goods remain competitive and thus boosting their economy.

That is exactly the reason why Greece is in such a bind right now.

Since Greece is part of Euro Zone, it cannot devalue its currency to boost its economy and thus has to do austerity measures and get bailouts from Germany to stabilize its economy.

If Greece had its own currency, then when its economy went into recession, it would have printed more money to cause an artifical inflation which would have made Greek products cheaper and thus increasing exports and boosting its economy.
