Indian defence minister hints at MMRCA cancellation

.
As for Being Customer India has Image of Biggest Importer of Arms than Any other Country on the Globe. We have More Expensive and Handy projects in Our Hands.Unlike Some Countries Who Only Depend on Being a Liability to their Sellers:D:D

You think this will be good for Indian reputation? Think again. Not only sellers, but buyers too have a reputation. Pakistan doesn't back off even when it cannot afford expensive military hardware. There's a clear distinction. Learn to make that distinction.

PS. On a different note, I don't care about Rafale or the French.

.
Nice one! So, after shaking hands, taking photo ops and what not the Indians have decided to back off and call it a day as far as the Rafale goes... Some Indians were already dreaming about forming Rafale squadrons and their placement etc. Talk about being a reliable customer.

I think it's more than that. The US sure as hell has a hand in this. The Rafale deal just fell and we're already hearing that the F-35 is in line to take its place. Doesn't make any sense.

How is it our fault that french are breaking their promises

You placed your signatures and announced to the entire world that the deal had gone through. Some of you were already fantasizing about having so many squadrons and what not. Do I really need to remind?

at least we don't live on welfare weapons aka gifts like our neighbor. we buy what we want with the little money we have.

You do make a lot of noise when Pakistan receives such weapons though.

I'm very much informed. What do countries do after announcing the winner of a competition? They don't back stab and choose another fighter like India has. Stop fooling.

we buy thats what matters unlike some

You make a lot of noise though.

There has been no signing of anything as of yet, thanks to French intransigence. So the linchpin of your argument is moot.

What we announced to the world was that the bid was accepted as the preferred bidder for the purpose of negotiations towards the contract. That's it. if both sides cannot come come to a mutually acceptable agreement, the tender will fail. Nothing like you imagine.

Rubbish. After you announced the winner you were obliged to keep your word and go through with your commitment. You didn't and kept bringing up excuses. The whole world watched the circus and fanfare for years. It has now come to the point that the Rafale is being sidelined for other fighters. This is not even a secret.

Besides, when I use the word "signature" it's in a metaphorical sense. By conveying the winner you were practically ready to sign the papers. You didn't in the end and made up excuses because you were never sure about the acquisition from day one. Let's face it, the MMRCA has been a circus from day one.

For the record, I don 't care about the French and their fighters. It's a matter of principle.

Simple as that

I'm sure the opposite party can also come up with accusations. They surely have their reservations too. You're only telling half of the story.

If defComs backtrack on their promises and violate the main terms what should the other party do? please post a guide on how to respond so will try to post that to GOI.

Only half of the story. Let the French tell us their half of the story.

LMAO That's a very easy way to wash your hands from any wrongdoing. Backstabbing is your past time hobby.

Then why are you being judgmental... wait for the other half of the story.... TIA for waiting

You Indians are defending yourselves like there is no tomorrow. We may never hear the true story, but I know how India is in their dealing. The entire MMRCA circus was a farce from day one. Everyone knows it.

Again, I don't give a crap about the French and their fighters.
