Not for the carrier operations, for shore based operations there are other alternatives of course, inculding the EMB 145 DRDO AWACS, but DRDO themselfs are the problem, since they already want to jump on the next project, instead of taking full advantage of the current one.

No there isn't, AWACS are required mainly from shore bases and there are already a lot of vendors on the market, be it for hi end or cost-effective choice. DRDO will never be able to export it's system without a propper partner, one reason why they should had aimed on deepen ties with Embraer, but as usual they think they are something better.
Navalising would mean complete new development of an aircraft, but except of the US, only France and Brazil operates carriers with catapult and the earlier already have E-2s. The V22 with a radar system developed by DRDO would be a far better alternative, since the platform is able to operate on any naval vessel and from shore bases, that makes the export chances far higher. But the US must approve such a joint development and we must fund it of course.
