Indian army suicides blamed on 'poor leadership'

The US Army is the world's most technologically advanced Army.

When it comes to professionalism, there are many armies in the world which have had a superlative record.

Indian Army
British Army
Russian Army
Pakistan Army

These are some of the most professional armies other than the US army.
Except the Britishers the other 3 are ages behind USA in military professionalism.
Britishers to are a little behind.

The thing with US/India army is that these country being rather more democratic and the information is available to everyone.
Do you think is the massive Chinese army no one commits suicide?

Let's not even talk about Pakistani army because when I typed Pakistani forces suicide in Google all I got was 'PA base attacked in suicide attack', 'Air base attacked in suicide attack', '20 Pakistani soldiers died in suicide attack' and the list is never ending.

Let's be honest guys this is in no way unique to Indian armed forces and,in fact, as a proportion of total serving personal the numbers are dry smaill and actually ar lower than the general public. Hopefully though something is done to lower the numbers anyway as every life lost is a tragedy. And in regards to China and Paksitan figures- PLA, like the Chinese society as a whole, is closed so these figures are near impossible to get and as suicide is seen as a sin in Islam it is unlikely the Paksitani military would publish such figures but I have no doubt these figures are comparable to India's if not quite a bit higher.

American Army is nothing, only high technology and advanced weapons are the reason they are good. Pakistani and Indian soldiers have much more heart and will to fight for their country... if Pak and India had same weapons, their army would be one of the toughest in the world. The Russians, Israeli, Iranian, Japanese and Korean also have a lot of courage. And of course, the most willing army in the world: The Taliban.

You are right, it depends on transparency level in that country, we publish everything and other countries do not, giving their countrymen false sense of everything is perfect.

Mate - sadly you are mistaken about US soldiers. They give their heart and soul for their country as much as any other soldiers do if not more.

For example, the pride with which the Marines say "Semper Fi" - you get to see it to believe it.

Ok, let's send American soldiers 20,000 feet above sea level and in -50 degrees temperature. Let's see how long they'll stay there.

So what are you implying that its US Govt's and people's fault that they arm their soldiers with the best in the world & LOL at the Taliban part. If they had the same power that US had, they would have converted the whole world to Afghanisthan and thats not a good thing.

Well their power is so much that they will make sure that their soldiers will not have to face that situation.

I'd like to know which taliban suicide bomber can complete the rangers course or the green berets course at fort bragg or the seals' hell week. If you are talking about professionalism, no other country has produced such scholar-warriors as the USA has.

Being willing enough to be cannon fodder or being a nuisance to the government by random acts of terror don't equate to being a professional soldier. Even the rangers undergo a physical training regime so difficult that only a handful of humans can complete it. It is easy to dismissively claim that US soldiers are superior only becaue of superior weaponry - all of them undergo the same physical training regime that any other soldier in the world undergoes, and like it or not, they do have some of the finest training facilities in the world. Just because they can afford superior weapons doesn't mean that they lack in other areas.

They would do equally well as an Indian soldier or Pakistani soldier. But they don't need to work hard as Pentagon would have equipped them to withstand the weather easily.

If you read about the Siege of Bastogne during the WW2 and how the 101st airborne fought without proper winter clothes and held off much superior German forces, you would know they are very tough.

US Army, I think ,live by the words of their famous General Patton...“No poor bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making other bastards die for their country.” and US Army makes damn sure that the other bastards die for their country by the bushels.
