For any product to be sold in the international market, the home country's armed forces should use it in the first place which would build a confidence for other buyers to procure it. Look at any major weapons system in the world and it is being used by the armed forces of it's home country

I never said IAF was responsible for everything. HAL offered a maintenance package which they refused to take and moreover, investigation reports said 3 of the choppers crashed due to pilot error while one crashed due to mechanical failure. So, who are to be blamed in this scenario? We can't blame the Russians when an MKI or Mig-21 crashes, because we are responsible for the maintenance and in the same way HAL's maintenance package with Ecuador expired after 24 months but pilot error is not something HAL could resolve. I'm not supporting HAL, I'm well aware they're a bunch of faggots who laze around all day and drink gallons of tea but times are changing and they're facing the heat from private Indian defense players
