Budgam, Jan 13 (ANI): Indian
army organised a blood donation
camp in Jammu and Kashmir in a
bid to reach out to the local
residents. Many soldiers, along
with residents, donated blood at
the camp organised in Budgam
district. General Officer
Commanding Kilo Force of
Rashtriya Rifles, Asit Mishra, said
that blood donation is the
highest form of humanism.
Requirement of blood has always
been high in the state due to
militancy and insurgency
activities. The army said it
planned to take up similar
projects in the future. There has
also been an acute shortage of
blood especially after the
devastating floods in September
last year.
