Don't worry about that ! They are of BSF (border security force) which is a paramilitary force, During a war Army takes control of the borders from BSF !

then better tell your army to be prepared then rather remained involving in rapping and killing innocent kashmiris

The Women of the Russian Army

n August 1941, before women were officially permitted to fight in the Russian army, Liza Ivanova organized and led a group of 68 men and women guerillas. She fought for more than a year before she was captured by the Nazis who tortured and executed her.

Vera Krylova joined the medical corps in 1941. When the Nazi's marched on Moscow she commanded an impromptu guerilla band of refugees. She was awarded the Order of the Red Banner and later fought with a battalion of ski troops.

The Soviet Union drafted unmarried women in the later years of the war although many thousands had volunteered much earlier in the conflict. More than 70% of the 800,000 Russian women who served in the Soviet army fought at the front. One hundred thousand of them were decorated for defending their country. Komsomol, the Communist youth organization, mobilized a half-million women and girls for military service. The women trained in all-female groups but after training were posted to regular army units and fought alongside the men.

About 1,000 women aviators were trained as fighter and military transport pilots, 30 of them were awarded the Gold Star of a Hero of the Soviet Union for their heroism in combat. Three aviation regiments, the 586th Women's Fighter Regiment, the 587th Women's Bomber Regiment and the 588th Women's Night Bomber Regiment utilized only women pilots, engineers and mechanics. Major Tamara Aleksandrovna commanded a Russian all-female air-borne regiment on more than 400 sorties and 125 combat engagements. She and the women she commanded shot down thirty-eight enemy aircraft during aerial combat. Polina Gelman was a bomber pilot who flew 18 combat missions and was decorated five times.

Other women pilots fought with primarily male units, including Lily (aka Lydia) Litvak and Katya Budanova who were pilots in the 73rd Fighter Regiment and took part in the Battle of Stalingrad. Captain Budanova downed eight enemy aircraft in combat. Lydia Livak flew 12 combat missions and shot down 9 German aircraft before being wounded and forced to crash land. She recovered from her injuries and returned to battle where she was killed during a 1943 dog-fight with 8 Messerschmitts.

Ludmilla Pavlichenko like many of the women was trained as a sniper. She is credited with killing 309 Germans. Lance Corporal Maria Ivanova Morozova also served as a sniper with the 62nd Rifle Battalion and won 11 combat decorations. She survived the war and became a senior accountant at a factory in Minsk.

Maria Baide, a scout in the Crimea, killed 15 Germans, wounded several others and routed the rest when her unit was pinned down by enemy machine gun fire. Although wounded she survived and was awarded Russia's highest honor, Hero of the Soviet Union.

Alexandra Beiko and her husband Ivan, with Stalin's permission, bought their own tank so they could go into WW II together. She was awarded the order of the Patriotic War.

& If any one here has read the book Stalingrad by Anthony Beevor then u will know how women stood the onslaught of Wehrmacht & Luftwaffe, the term sniper-ism & women & deployment of women on anti aircraft batteries, on one occasion none of men controlled anti aircraft batteries were not able to bring down even a single Luftwaffe plane but next day men were moved to fight & women were deployed to control those anti A/C batteries & on that day women brought down 5 Stuka bombers & 2 Me-109s...
and even when Wehrmacht over ran their battrey positions women didn't abandoned their batteries, they stood their & tried their best not to let the these 'assets' destroyed...
Never under estimate a woman

I can understand and I am extremly sorry for it but what can we do when some people call for it in every thread... I just replied....

Any ways great inputs from your side regarding female soldiers. Really appreciate that.

In India females have higher pass rate than the males. they are doing better in every field. Even in delhi you can find many women security personel at various installations such as metro stations and all with big guns as a part of CISF

why?what's so special about '81 and '85?I think you should open a topic about this, sounds interesting.

That statement that women are mentally inferior to men came from an Israeli military study,IIRC.

Coming back to the BSF women guards,I think it's a smart move. It's a security force, it would help to deal with females along the border too without causing problems.as long as they do the jobs things will be fine.

May be some fun for IA (Male).

Female cant do anything in a serious war. They are not mentally or physically stronger then male.

Do u really think a bullet from a female soldier's rifle wont make a hole in ur skull just bcoz it was fired from a woman??..........i really want to see people with this mentality in the pakistan side of LOC.

- Muhammad Ali Jinnah

If he was alive today, he could have given u a slap in ur face for ur post. a bullet from a woman is as deadly as its from a man, u dont need to be a body builder to pull the trigger or drive a tank. Atleast show some respect to Mr.Jinnah by stop underestimating a woman's capability.

Men and women are equal in rights but not same or equal physically or mentally (Not stronger by nerves).

yes, they are not, But they knows how to shoot, so be careful! :victory:

You are flamming and I dont want to be aggressive with you.
Dont quote negatively if u understand every thing neg.

I was just saying that its a gernal perception that men are more batter in war then women. I also quoted that both men and women have equal rights (Chk ma all posts). I didnt negate Jinnah words.

Plz stop flamming and creating negative ideas from a general perception.
