It was an unauthorized aircraft operating in Pakistani airspace close to the LoC where a hostile military is deployed - any unauthorized 'drone' would be treated as 'potential enemy aircraft' and shot down - what's so hard to understand about that?

I fail to see the analogy - the Indians arrested a pigeon, Pakistani forces shot down an unauthorized aircraft (as they should have done) - whether the aircraft was Indian military or being used by private citizens on either side of the LoC is irrelevant.

Pay attention to the bold part in the above statement, nobody is contesting the reasoning for shooting it down.

Whether it was shot down or not is another topic as the drone does not exhibit any high energy projectile damage.

How do you know? Is Punjab police the only entity that has purchased this drone? And why would Punjab police be operating the drone in Kashmir, especially considering the fact that the range would not allow operation of the drone around the LoC from Punjab?

'Not many' also strongly implies that motive behind drone operations and source was Indian security establishment, and argues in favor of the ISPR assumption that the drone was an Indian spy drone.

The only 'stupid' statement here is the Indian position that there is no possibility it could have been an Indian security establishment drone - the ISPR assumption is the most feasible and likely situation.
