indian army chopper crashes

if they passed the weather test then most likely the crashed is not due to the weather most likely cause should be human error or engine mulfuction , why blamed the weather?

Because as a Person who has served in those areas , I know the Weather conditions Like the palm of my hand... And Next, a Helicopter as Was said by me a few posts back is not fool proof nor is there any machine in the world, There are instances where the Wind Resource assesment team from Siemens returned back empty hand feeling sorry for having not been able to calculate and assess the average wind speed and Hub Height to set up masts.... It is such cruel in those areas, a sudden change in the weather and no machine is a gods gift to handle sudden extremes...

if they passed the weather test then most likely the crashed is not due to the weather most likely cause should be human error or engine mulfuction , why blamed the weather?

Firstly both the crashes took place in different regions. One was to the east of Bhutan & the other to the west.

Next, the crash today has taken place in an area ( watershed) of the Himalayas where the weather changes so rapidly that any amount of met reports cannot accurately forecast the weather. within the valleys the area gets fogged out and sharp gusts of wind above them toss the machines .

Having spent served there one knows how dicey it is to fly- it takes guts & expertise.

Lastly, being a military forum one expects and give respect to the dead who die in the lne of duty for their countries - irrespective of the color of uniform worn.

.
Rest in Peace and may God bless the brave souls and their family during this time and always.

the chopper must be on a spying mission and shot down by chinese air patrol
That's correct. The crash was in "northern Sikkim" (India's euphemism for "a part of China we want to start claiming next").

It looks like they crossed into Chinese airspace trying to check out Chinese army presence in chicken-neck area. PLA shot them down -- great!

PS: don't worry too much about Tangxiliang... that guy goes around pretending to be a super-mod telling people what posts are okay and not okay on this forum... as you can see the real mods gave him a vacation

your a bigger idoit than i expected.
When on a recon air patrol, you don't take troops with you. You don't us a helecopter either. You have the choice of Mirage Awacs ELINIT pending on your choice but a military "transport" aircraft is not really the machine you want to use for spying. The wanted to spy they could have directed on of their satalites as well.

Okay so it's just a coincidence that a military helicopter flying close to the Sino-Indian border in a conflict hotspot (Siliguri gorge) crashed. You concluded based on nothing that it wasn't shot down by China.

Look I have no proof it was definitely shot down. I'm just saying it's suspicious.
