Why doesn’t somebody post the full news

the aircraft display showed a technical error message hence the helicopter made the landing
The glitch got rectified in less than 30 mins and the helicopter took off again

If it was a major issue, then Boeing would have been involved

Their are YouTube videos of the the helicopter landing in the village and taking off again after getting checked by the engineer

Only Theprint will make a mountain out of a molehill just to gain some trp

no sane person reads this rag

This is what happens when a sophisticated piece of machinery is at the hands of a nalaek Military.

Hope the Americans have braced themselves for some bad publicity of their state of the art equipment.

You are taking this too far.

Would you say the same about one of PAF's top pilots crashing PAF's top fighter jet that happened few weeks ago?

Apaches are widely considered the most advanced attack helicopters in the world

New Delhi:
A brand new Apache attack helicopter of the Indian Air Force (IAF) made an emergency landing in a field in Punjab's Hoshiarpur today. The two pilots are safe and the district police are in touch with the IAF's base in Pathankot.

Reports said there was no damage to the helicopter.

"An Apache helicopter of the IAF got airborne from Pathankot airbase. The helicopter, after approximately one hour of flying had indications of a critical failure and carried out a safe landing west of Indora, Punjab," the IAF said in a statement.

"The captain of the aircraft took correct and prompt actions to recover the helicopter safely. All crew on board the helicopter are safe and there has been no damage to any property. The aircraft will be recovered after necessary rectification," it said.

The American-made Apaches, also informally known as "tank busters", were bought by India in a recent deal worth $1.1 billion.

Twenty-two brand new Apache attack helicopters were ordered by India. The first batch was inducted in September last year.

The Apaches are widely considered the most advanced attack helicopters in the world and have seen action with the US Air Force in multiple wars

i guess this is an improvement... the last time they landed in a Pakistan army base...

Perhaps, but ours was from the 80's - that's nearly 4 Decades old - doing a dangerous maneuver.

This just got delivered days ago.

Sorry, and you're absolutely right - accidents do happen. Here is an overview of the Accidents by the IAF in the calendar year 2019...

28 January: Jaguar crashed shortly after takeoff in Uttar Pradesh.

01 February: A Mirage 2000 crashed while on an acceptance sortie after being upgraded by state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) killing both Pilots.

12 February: A MiG-27 crashed at the Pokhran firing range.

19 February: Two Hawk aircraft of Surya Kiran aerobatic team crashed after hitting each other mid-air during a rehearsal for the AeroIndia Show. One of the pilots was killed in the accident.

27 February*: Pakistan shot down one MiG-21 Bison during an aerial fight after India violated the airspace.

27 February: a Mi-17 chopper was also downed in Budgam District in Indian Occupied Kashmir killing all six on board.

08 March: A MiG-21 (Bison) crashed near Bikaner, western Rajasthan, due to a Bird strike, the pilot ejected safely.

31 March: A MiG-27 (UPG) crashed in Sirohi, Rajasthan, the pilot ejected safely.

03 June: An-32 crashed in Arunachal Pradesh. All 13 declared dead.

08 August: Su-30Mki crash in Tezpur. Both pilots ejected safely.

16 November: MiG-29K crashed in Goa soon after it took off for a training mission. Both the pilots managed to eject safely from the aircraft.

*Note: 01 Su-30MKi not included in the list of 14 - as not to hurt feelings or denial.

It's idiots like you who are More damaging to Pakistan than Indians and you are lurking amongst us.
There are one billion Indians to defend the honour of India and your چاپلوسی is not required.
The thread is about an accident in India , why drag Pakistan into it?

People like him compare F16 with ventilators after voting for toi party for continuous 10 years and. Pseudo liberal +patwari, dragging armed forces into every fking matter.

Problem with IAF I think is their ground crews. They most likely are dalits/muslims and mistreated by officer class just like in army. So more than likely they don't do their job properly. We should have their ground crews on our side through AirIntelligence or through ISI or whatever.

And We Lost 10 only That Is 24 years
Wrong. Hindustan Times (20 JAN 2020) says, "A total of 12 Su-30 jets have crashed since the fighter jets were inducted. The IAF is likely to place an order for 12 more jets to make up for the losses."

And indeed, as reported on 31 MAR 2020, they're looking to order 12 replacements: “We are moving towards ordering 12 more Sukhoi-30s... 12 is what is being followed up straightaway”

Thank you. :-)

Indians need to realize their is something seriously wrong with their pilots and maintenance crew.
