They hardly involved in most of the training. Most of them are in the hangar. They are gradually replaced by J-16 and JH-7A for maritime strike and patrol. So far, no accident involved.

I think Indian failure in engine maintenance . If look at Russia fleet, never heard of any SU30 failure yet. Russian using same plane in Syria for the last one year and found no free fall or engine breakdown. So, it must be ground maintenance issue.
