Yes surely can , This ALG In Vijayanagar is at Altitude 12,600 feet which Makes it capable To Operate Modern fighters of our air force Like Sukhois if the Length of airstrip Is Increased , But the whether is Problem in such Regions.Infact 2 Year ago , CM Of Arunachal sent a Proposal to Defence Ministry to Upgrade all this ALG's into Full fledged Air bases.

Remember the Nyoma ALG Will be Upgraded to Big Air base to station Sukhois.Nyoma is Located at 13,300-feet Altitude And can Operate Sukhois.The Reason Behind Plan to Station Sukhois In Nyoma was its Better Whether Conditions.

Why?!! Per capita poverty is actually less, but of course you like to pick and chose your facts- try these: India defence spending= 1.8% of GDP, Pakistan 5%+ of GDP and with illiteracy rates higher than 2/3rds and unemployment nearing 30% it seems Pakistan could do with cutting back on spending to more sensible levels, maybe take India's lead?

buddy dontt worry..the MOD till now was functioning on the basis of denial of movement to chines troops in case of invasion by not building any roads , air strips etc ....but now we are going full steam ahead in modernisation of arms and infrastructure....

dont feel you are neglected...an attack on arunachal will be considered as an attack on every indian living all over the 3.2 million sq kms...and response will be the same...

yeah this must be a BIG BIG question of why bharat is not imploding..huge population, poverty bigger than africa, huge corruption still my mother land shines day by day becomes stronger day by day..well i know u would never understand this..this is called love towards u mother land, this land is our identity, we all pray it, swear by it, it is our GOD.u guys wont understand u ppl will swear ur allegiance towards a desert and its ppl as ur masters 1000 miles away while ur motherland bleeds, u guys will never understand.

Why everything to assam? This not give us sense of protection. Main treat is in AP not assam

army will be with u(AP) and major air force bases in assam, at war time we should be able to protect our major air force equipment from chinese missile batteries and long range artillery, but yeah army divisions should have more presence in AP , sikkim for point defence, BTW i guess this new base is for the supply chain for the army units based in AP.
