Indian Air Force much stronger compared to PLAF - IAF chief

[INDIAPOSITIVE]

ndian Air Force (IAF) chief Birender Singh Dhanoa asserted on Thursday that the IAF was on a "strong wicket" vis-a-vis China.

The air chief marshal's statement comes days after Indian Army chief voiced concerns about China's military buildup in the Doklam region, where the troops of the two nations were engaged in a stand-off for over two months last year.

"The air force is on a strong wicket against China. Whatever requirements are there from the budget, have been sent to the government," Dhanoa said while addressing a press conference here.

Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping, while addressing the 13th National People's Congress, had said that China would not cede a "single inch of land".

He also heaped praises on the Chinese military forces, saying that they were the 'stepping stones' in building a strong China.

PAF has only 175 4th gen combat jets (99 JF-17 & 76 F-16) whereas IAF & IN have 400 4th gen combat jets (236 Su-30 MKI, 65 Mig-29UPG, 49 Mirage 2000, 44 MiG-29K, 6 Tejas).

IAF chief was referring to PLAF and not PAF, and what he actually said is entirely different from what the headlines states. What he meant with the statement 'being in strong wicket' was that IAF can defend itself against any PLAF aggression which does not necessarily mean IAF being stronger than PLAF. But then the headlines has given a perfect platform for the cheerleaders here to show off their skills.

India needs to counter: Pakistan and China

in absolute terms, PLAF should be wayy ahead of India's. but in terms of "usage policies" the difference is much lower, however I still believe its clearly in favor of China.

First thing .........He is talking about Chinese Air Force not Pakistani Air Force, Second thing in War Quantity doesn't matter, it matters Training, Skills and Tactics...and about that history has shown that in WAR between Pakistan and India.....Pakistani Air Force always had upper hand....and not to forget MM Alam World Record Holder Destorying 5 Indian Jets in less than a Minute....
This is the time Indian's need to wake up from this dream being a SUPA POWA....is there any day Indian's don't lie on the Media.....they have adopted the habit that tell the world lies so many times that people start believing it...
