There are Muslims living in India that don't even have any access to one bedroom houses, so I wouldn't call Yusuf & Irfan Pathan's family background impoverished. Again, your definition for success is very different from mine: you think success comes from the fact that you earn more money than others, while I feel it is to be in a position to help others, to make a difference in society.

Bilal, you're saying that majority Muslims in India live in extreme poverty? all poor are Muslims? There is not even a single Hindu or a Christian who is poor?
What exactly you're trying to say?

Heard of tax, cause I know in Pakistan, people dont pay much tax.

But the income tax they pay, is contribution to the society.

While Pakistan needs better tax collection systems, Pakistan is the 6th most philanthropic nation in the world. $11 billion is sent by Pakistanis living overseas to Pakistan every year in the form of remittances. Besides that, in recent years, Pakistani citizens living in Pakistan have donated an amount equal to 1.25% of the nation’s GDP. In 2000, Pakistanis living in Pakistan gave $1.2 billion in charity.

Might have something to do with India World Class education system, that make powerful people.

obviously, we have minority quota in world class institutes like IITs, IIMs, AIIMS , NITs

and Musims making to gen seat in many other world class institutes are among successful people in the world

And the Legend A R Rahman  !!

Bro, just imagine if Pakistan made in name of Islam, had all these people in their nation. Let me tell you, they will be in a 100 times better sisuation then now.

In 2007, Premji gave $2billion to charity, so whats your point?

Do you know what else annoys me, that Pakistanis think India Muslim should respect Pakistan more then India, as they state is a Muslim state.

When Shahrukh Khan went to support India, in the T20 final vs Pakistan, many Pakistanis started to swear at him, saying he is a bad muslim. But they are just jealous.

who cares, our neighbor lack 'ideals' and 'stars' so they shift to Indians and start worshiping Indian celebrity and start expecting from them but in the process they forget that the 'star' they are worshiping is an Indian till last breath !!

India, the Pakistani obsession
Meeta Chaitanya

India is Pakistan’s obsession. So, said the American President. But, we have heard that before. In fact, from classrooms to board rooms, from sporting arenas to reality television, every allusion to the India-Pak association is met with a hearty dose of derision and skepticism. Political parties have whetted vote-bank appetites with flagrant Indo-Pak sentiment. Political commentators have stated relentlessly that Pakistan's national identity veers on the nature of its association with India.

The same obsession that made Aryan_B to a daily reader of Times of India blogs... prompt bilalhaider to google search India + Mao OR poor OR hungry ..

Nothing more ..Nothing less.

The reason that this may be particularly disconcerting, especially from the Pakistani angle is the fact that this is not a political or partisan, or policy based, or socially divergent dissonance. That would then be slotted among the frigid bilateral relationships India has with the rest of its neighbors. China, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka…our circumference comprises ambivalent political counterparts. They, however, are not obsessed with us.

For Pakistan, we are a steadily sustained body of reference for anything existential! Naturally, all their overtures, on and off the field are anything but diplomatic, and everything but matches. Obsession spiked with negation seems to have become habitual. Do you shelter terrorist outfits? No. Were you aware of Kasab? No. Do you know who attacked the Parliament? No. Do you know where Osama is? Was....oh… no!

The difference is not between who gets to claim Noor Jehan, and who breeds Lata ; the difference is between Agra and Kargil, between the LoC and the Border, between banter and blasts, between Samjhauta Express and Kashmir, and finally, between adversarial ideology and a volatile, geopolitical threat.

So, when their homegrown terrorism trespasses, as it has, as it will, maybe India should get obsessive. Obsessive about its own security, safety, sovereignty, democracy and entity...

Of course indians are obsessed with Pakistan and Pakistanis. Just look at all the indians on here.
