LOL. No, i read an article posted in this forum, stating some of the players didn't have shoes before the game.

I'm pretty sure they played with shoes in this game, though i remember my mum once telling me a long time back during the Olympics, some runners from India ran without shoes

Pakistani coach was constantly abusing Indian players. Quite a show of immaturity..

The high-voltage summit clash was marred by Pakistan coach's unwarranted action of constantly abusing Indian players from the roof of the stadium. Whenever there was an infringement from the Indian side, he used the 'F' word liberally. And whenever the umpires blew against India, he hollered 'Thank You'.

This is what Indian coach had to say in the end.. Praising both sides for playing good hockey..

Indian coach Michael Nobbs was almost in tears and said, "This is a great win. Both teams played well and had enough chances. But it is fantastic to see a young Indian side win such a prestigious tournament."

Message to Pakistani Coach - Grow up and next time instead off shooting from mouth teach your players to shoot during penalty stroke play-out..

Thank god you did not watch it otherwise we should have heard thousands of allegations, conspiracies, partiality by umpires etc etc. Or may be you watched it and thought it as football!!!! I still did not forget 'the offside' from the commonwealth games India-Pakistan match.

i saw one goal where Indian forward was clearly offside but not given.
I saw one Pakistan's plenty corner, Indian defenders were dashing before the ball was thrown.
Clearly unfair from beginning.
Most of the time Ball was in Pakistan's possession.

Some people really think India played without shoes. Actually some players had to played with training shoes instead of special shoes for the turf. That's all. However fan of both countries have many things to worry. Pakistan lost to Japan. India could not beat Japan or Malysia. Other countries are catching up very fast while we are falling behind the countries like Australia, Germany or Argentina. Highest ranked country from Asia is South Korea at present not India or Pakistan (Malayasia doing well recently). Happy to see Korea has been beaten by both of us.
