Can we use these in Kashmir to track the militants?
Can we use these in Kashmir to track the militants?
I am sure that India will get 10 of these and may be more in future as well.
I am sure it will be armed with LGBs as well as AShMs of small class or may be some IR missiles too...
We are already using satellites and israeli UAVs for that...Can we use these in Kashmir to track the militants?
Nobody is using armed version of MQ-4C BAMS right now, not even US. Its a really nice system and has many other important features, there's no need to arm them. ALso i think this particular UAV was meant for surveillance, battlefield communication etc. etc. For that you need to stay for along time in the air and this also reduces the operational cost of the platform. Now if you arm them and when they carry on the strike mission they will end up giving up their location. In short after the strike you will have to bring back the UAV and this is why operational cost of armed UAVs is very expensive especially when you use it against terrorists who don't have good air defence system and that is why US is purchasing armed turboprops for low conflict zones like Afg. and Iraq whose operational cost is also very less.I am sure that India will get 10 of these and may be more in future as well.
