India vying for air superiority

We are on different pages. Anyways appreciate your reply.

Good Day!
Having looked at EL/M2083, yeah that could be AEWC. However, The Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) is an American low-level airborne ground surveillance system that uses aerostats (moored balloons) as radar platforms. It is said similar systems include the EL/M-2083 and JLENS. The Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System, or JLENS (colloquially, Spy Balloon), is a tethered aerial detection system designed to track boats, ground vehicles, cruise missiles, manned and unmanned aircraft (airborne early warning and control), and other threats. So, you can understand why I don't automatically lump these together with AEWC aircraft..

The Elta I mentioned has a range of 250km.

INcidentally,

On 26 July 2002, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of a possible Foreign Military Sale to Pakistan of Aerostat Radar Systems as well as associated equipment and services. The total value, if all options are exercised, could be as high as $155 million.

The Government of Pakistan has requested a possible sale of six Aerostat L-88 Radar Systems, spare and repair parts, facility construction and support, publications and technical documentation, personnel training and training equipment, U.S. Government and contractor engineering and logistics personnel services and other related elements of logistics support. The estimated cost is $155 million.

The Tethered Aerostat Radar system blimp carries the Lockheed Martin L-88 as its primary payload, a surveillance radar with a range of 370 km (200 nm).

So, these would have to be included then also.

I didn't actually discuss about Aerostats as it's a different domain and we will end up bringing several other radars into discussion. Someone else spoke of Aeostats, guess you thought it's me. Anyways

Good day!

No Sale has been Made to Pakistan Neither Reported in FMS or By SPRI

So there No Evidence that PAF Operated L-88 radars Accept for the Proposal

As for Phalcons AWACS 2 More are ordered by MOD this year only going by reports israel already supplied Parts of 2 A-50 in advanced by russia

India's Parliament was Wednesday informed that one of Indian Air Force's (IAF) Aerostats supplied by Israeli defence firm Rafael has been damaged and that it is non-operational. Defence Minister AK Antony, in reply to questions from members of parliament in Rajya Sabha (House of States) the two Aerostat were bought by India from Rafael in 2002 and these two radars were supplied to IAF in 2007 and 2008 respectively. He also said the IAF was making efforts to recover the damaged Aerostat.

POssible. DSCA notices are about requests to congress for approval of pending sale, not the actual sale itself, which may subsequently never occur (remember Spruance class destroyer sale to Pakistan was permitted but never taken up by Pakistan. Likewise, Congress may refuse permission)

Thanks for informative post ;-)
