India vs. South Africa Cricket Series

The series in England will be a treat to watch, as they have some very good players and so do the indians. Now it remains to be seen that how well the indian batting lineup will adopt after the departure of SRT and Dravid. Good luck to you guys. And I sincerely hope that the PCB learn the team management skill from the BCCI.

SRT & Dravid will there for the England tour anyways..

Did they say anything about retirement?

Yes, it nice to see England Vs India in England..

Not that I know of, as far as their plans of retirement are concerned. I am sure that they will be playing in England. What I meant was that it will be interesting to see how the team will cope with the retirement. But yes the England series will be a treat to watch.

don't worry we already go by testing M.Vijay/ C. Pujara/ SK Raina/P Ohja/ & yet to test V Kholi/ R Sharma/ R Aswin....For the replacement of S. Gunguly/A Kumble/ SR Tendulkar/ R Dravid/ VVS Laxmen

every thing is already planed, when RD, VVS, SG comes like this so no problem of any mess...

even both SG & AK retire on same series, we find replacement dont worry...

I heard that Viru is not going to play in ODI's starts 12 Jan, 2011. any news guys??

England can beat India "every day of week": Gough

LONDON: In what could raise the hackles of the Indians, former England fast bowler Darren Gough on Thursday said that Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men are champions only at home and England can beat them "every day of the week".

Gough said England were the best team in the world at the moment after their innings drubbing of Australia in the fourth Ashes Test, and India's performance in South Africa have nothing much to write about.

"For me, we're the best team in the world at this moment. I've watched the South Africa-India series and I see nothing to worry about. India are fantastic in their own country and have some great individuals but I'd fancy this England side to beat them every day of the week," Gough said.

Gough said the strength and depth in the England attack is such that the Three Lions will dominate world cricket for the foreseeable future.

"This team are the Golden Generation. They are the side that are going to dominate world cricket for the next few years. I don't know whether that is because we're better than everybody else in sight or because we have a top-class spinner and five bowlers who could start a Test, no problem.

"We now have so many options, especially in attack, and the reason this team is so dominant is because we have 16 players who could have started the first Test match," Gough was quoted as saying by 'Sun' tabloid.

He said Andrew Strauss' heroes deserve the same accolades as those in the 2005 Ashes side, who were awarded MBEs and enjoyed an open-top bus parade through London.

"Will this team get the same reception? Probably not. Do they deserve to? I would say yes."

England can beat India "every day of week": Gough

that's typical of english mentality.. be it with cricket or with football..
all they need to do is win one match & they end of thinking they are world beaters.

Just remember what they said after 2005 ashes. They slid right afterwards and didn't get up probably until 18 months ago.

That being said, it will be very hard for India to win in England next year. Let's see how it goes.

Darren Gough!?
Oh wow!
..
Only time shall tell.

Some people are jealous if Asians(thats for all Asians) come out as the best in the world.

my money is on India and idk why but my instinct says it will be a thrashing for England.

india should come atleast 15 days ahead of the tour to england...then we will see a royal thrashing of england..

I think Darren Gough has forgot who beat England "every day of the week" in 2008.

Last time India toured Australia the result was 1-1.

Last time India toured England..the result was 1-0 in Indias favour.

Last time India toured SA...the result was 2-1 in SA favour...and now the series is 1-1.

Last time we toured WI..we won.

Last time we toured Lanka..we won.

Last time we toured New Zealand...we won.

I dont know what else would a champion team do.

Typical english mentality who thinks that EPL is the best football league in the world and Messi cannot play against stoke city :hitwall:
