I do not know India, But when I work at HK Expo, I found many Indian's confidence is short... I do not know if my feeling is right, but I can see that they are same as Chinese people, we aslo beginning from zero, but I trust India will run better, as you are also clever nation.
maybe 1965, Indian do not like China, that;s a hard condition, we are also hard to make the choice, anyway, we wish India, Pakistan,China three country can have a good relationship.
India actually is similar as China, we can be the friend.

We have not occupied Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan. We did not invade Bangladesh, we sacrificed our arms, money & soldiers to free this country & still we didn't occupy it, though all of this was part of our nation once.
