India voices concern over US equipping Pakistan army

i am kashmiris and i know that we dont belong to you then how can you say that we belong to you????
if kashmir is your(you think) then why you dont held free elections according to UN resolution.( that resolution was accepted by your prime minister promised that)
:coffee:

hello? which part of kashmir are u from???

Knock your self on the head, we did for a whole year in 2002.:bounce:
After loosing some 500 men without a shot being fired, India withdrew unilateraly.:cheesy:
I would say that was more than just blinking.

Your ignorance baffles me to no end. That is not blinking, but is diplomacy. India never intended on attacking Pakistan but to exert pressure on Pakistan to renounce terrorism as a state tool. The Indian troops withdrew only when the Indian government accepted Musharraf’s pledge (June 10th, 2002) to end militant infiltration into India and when Indian officials reported to PMO that infiltration has dramatically declined.

There is no second thoughts. Kashmir belongs to India

Nothing baffling about it, you don't shift your brick and motor from one end of the country to other just to stage a demonstration, you probably read the book and saw the film, I happened to be in Pakistan during that period. Perhaps you can recall an Indian UAV being shot down near Lahore, and Pakistan test firing several missiles.
There is a lot more that you are oblivious to.

your comment gave hint that Pakistan is fighting for some else for money!!!
are you trying to say that Pakistan is a hired gun of USA and Europe????

Isnt that what india does for the US, against China?

Thats' good that you know the consequences

Up until now Indian government never directly blamed Pakistan government for Mumbai attacks. India has formally accused some fugitives and/or organizations.

Is asking to hand over Hafiz Saeed for his terrorist activities on the India soil is blaming Pakistan? Why in the first place Pakistan is shielding Hafiz Saeed. Killing innocent people is terrorism and Hafiz Saeed is a terrorist. ( Don’t say India didn’t provided any evidence, It has in fact provided enough evidence to proceed against Saeed in any court of law any where in the world)

One, you have self-contradicted in your your post big time. You bragged that india never blamed Pakistan for mumbai and then 'enlightened' us all that Pakistan is 'shielding' Hafiz Saeed!

Two, i think you need to read you country's stance one more time, india did blame Pakistan, its Army and the ISI for the fringing drama. Update yourself!

Yeah right!

Do me a favor, ask some military officer of yours and tell him give you a true analysis of your troops' morale after the humiliating 'withdrawal'.

And wait, do another favor, also ask him the following:

1-In what terms did the Gujrat Massacre affect india's mal-intention against Pakistan?

2-How did Pakistan rapid mobilization screwed your plans?

3-Why did Op Prakram give birth to the wishful Cold Start Strategy?

Then may be he can push some sense in you!

Chill!

Honestly. this is getting beyond the point of preposterous

rain, snow or sunshine --- hindustany would never cease to amaze me

They test sea-launched nuclear missiles (offensive); plan to induct nuclear subs with help by Russia (surely not defensive!); soviet-era aircraft carrier (surely not defensive!); they are conducting missile tests bi-monthly (offensive, though they often fail anyways); they are planning to induct 126 MRCA (a disturbing development, albeit less of a worry for now, given the sluggish and politicized nature of indian procurement)

so they'll complain when we get a few night vision goggles/monoculars (which security forces badly need to fight the militants), un-armed UAVs (not a new capability for Pakistan, we've been manufacturing them ourselves for a little less than a decade); and other items that are purely defensive in nature. The funny thing is, many of these deals were signed over 5 years ago under the tenure of President Gen (retd.) Musharraf.

I think it annoys indian that we are capable of protecting every single centimeter of our motherland, and capable of responding quite effectively to any mis-adventure or games they dare to wage on the Republic.

my suggestion to them would be to focus more on the internal problems which they have; security-wise (insurgencies, such as the naxalites) and socially/economical (such as the massive poverty and AIDS/HIV existing there).

We never bash the Russians, israilis (or even -- the AMERICANS) when they sell weapons or force multiplier/capability-enhancing equipment to our enemy.

in the end, it's just diplomacy and self-interests. indians could learn a thing or two about diplomacy. I'm sure (all) her neighbours would agree with that!

Which book or/and film is/are you referring to? I at least have no idea. And, Please, everybody know what media creates in such situations(UAV being shot down near Lahore etc.. etc…). Missile tests are regular features in the sub continent and I am hearing them on daily basis since I know the world.

You call it jittery nerves and rattling knees, and we call it diplomacy, arm twisting, pressure tactics, dexterity, adroitness, politics, or which ever name you could conceive of.

We don’t ask military officers, we demand information from the elected politicians. At least that’s how things go in India. Any way, what has Gujarat Massacre or Cold Start Strategy as to do with the issue at hand?

I never self-contradicted myself. What I wrote was “Up until now, Indian government never directly blamed Pakistan government for Mumbai attacks”. Please read the sentence again and you would know what my intentions were when I used those two modifiers

We respect your intentions of protecting every single inch of your motherland, so should you respect our intentions of protecting every single inch of our motherland

And please, don’t worry about our internal problems, we have more than billion minds working on that

Let me put it this way, you are merely resorting to what you read in the papers or viewed on the small screen, hence your comment, "Media creates such situations", where in fact ground realities are quite difference. Both countries indeed conduct missile tests regularly, but when a million soldiers are standing eyeball to eyeball, you will find countries seldom divulge in these staged demos unless it's meant to send a signal to the other side. As for your terminologies, ever heard of the proverb, .... crying wolf once too often. These kind of ploys and tactics only work in certain cases and then only some of the time, not when you are facing an other nuclear power.
Perhaps something from your own source will satisfy your cravings.

Neither you nor me knows what the ground realities are, nor do we have any instruments/sources to check the veracity of the realities .We depend sole on media for the information. And the fact is media creates more such situations in those kind of a times or even magnifies insignificant events. That’s how media functions around the world. Pakistan media is no different. Even if a UAV is brought down, what is so great about it. Tens of UAV’s are brought down every year by either sides, even in peace times.

And, yes the ploys and tactics worked. India were able to force Musharraf to pledge on ending the infiltration permanently across the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan was the first to blink. Please refer to the news article below for further information

The Hindu : Musharraf's pledge `a step forward', says Jaswant

I am sorry, I never heard the proverb “ crying wolf once too often”
