lol, stop wasting our time.

Conclusion:

1. All China needs to do to keep India out of the UNSC is to veto India's membership.

2. The paper I quoted is perfectly valid, and Pakistan and India are on par as they are both REGIONAL POWERS.

Buddy, we don't even need to use the veto.

All we need to do is not support it (i.e. abstain) and it won't pass.

They need unanimous support from all the P5 members, as well as a 2/3 supermajority in the general assembly.

Tata in China
China is a critical and growing market for the Tata group, which has a bit of history with regard to doing business with the Middle Kingdom. In 1859, a young Jamsetji Tata, the founder of the Tata group, was sent to Hong Kong to open a branch for his father's banking firm. He relocated a few months later to Shanghai, where he remained till 1863.

Currently the Tata group has a fairly significant presence in China, with the number of companies and operations growing steadily. Tata companies employ over 2,600 employees in China, generated $3 billion worth of sales in the country and purchased goods and services worth $700 million in 2010.

Recognising the potential for high growth in existing businesses and opportunities for new ones, Tata Sons, the group promoter company, has set up representation in China. (Contact: James Zhan, group chief representative at tatachina@tata.com).

What is wrong with the paper? just because you don't like doesn't mean it is wrong.

Here's the quotes from the same paper you quoted :

Huntington, ‘Lonely Superpower’, p. 36, also conceives of a multi-level hierarchy. On top is the US
as the single superpower. At a second level are the ‘major regional powers’ – the German-French
condominium in Europe, Russia in Eurasia, China and potentially Japan in East Asia, India in
South Asia
, Iran in Southwest Asia, Brazil in Latin America, South Africa and Nigeria in Africa –
and a third level is composed of secondary regional powers.

From a US point of view, 64 a strategy of embedding the middle powers, middle-tier states
or regional powers – explicitly mentioned are China and India – in regional
multilateral institutions may offer an opportunity to influence their behaviour and
make their actions more calculable.

Read the whole article buddy !

Also, "regional power" and failed state don't mix :
