Kohli actually refused to walk after being BOWLED by the moooslim in the England team.

"Ruth Brooksbank: Couldn't resist this: There once was a captain called Kohli, Who to the Indian supporters is holy. But it was comedy gold, As he got clean bowled, And walked off ever so slowly."

I try really really hard to respect Indian cricket, honestly, I even admit it when they've played well. Then they behave in this sadly predictable fashion and I'm reminded of what a fk storm of hindutva filth they are - BCCI, the players, the fans - FILTH daring to smear the gentleman's sport with their rampant hatred of anything remotely Pakistani or Muslim.

"Although replays suggested that Ajinkya Rahane should have given out after a delivery from Jack Leach brushed his glove on the way to the short-leg fielder, the TV umpire, Anil Chaudhary, failed to check the correct passage of play and declined England's review.

The incident occurred in the 75th over of the day as Rahane prodded forward to a good-length ball from Leach. While England's appeal was turned down by the on-field umpire, Virender Sharma, they were quick to call a review.

Chaudhary, however, appeared to check only the moment the ball passed the bat. Having decided, quite correctly, that there was no contact at that moment, he returned his 'not out' decision without appearing to realise that the ball had, after that moment, ballooned off the pad and taken the glove, close to the tip of his bat, before Ollie Pope caught it.

RELATED
England, watching the review of the incident play out on the big screen, appeared to clarify to Sharma that they were appealing for a catch off the glove, not the bat. Chaudhary responded by checking for a leg before wicket dismissal, concluding this would also be denied as the ball had pitched outside leg stump. As a result, England were informed that they had lost one of their reviews.

It is unclear if Sharma informed Chaudhary of England's clarifications or if Chaudhary was provided the footage he requested from the broadcasters.

A few moments later, however, the review was reinstated. By that time the match referee, Javagal Srinath, had been shown replays of the full incident and been able to use Snicko to see there had been contact between ball and glove.

On what grounds that review was reinstated remains, at the time of writing, unclear. The ICC's protocols on the matter state that "an unsuccessful review may be re-instated by the Match Referee at his sole discretion (if appropriate after consultation with the ICC Technical Official and/or the television broadcast director), if the review could not properly be concluded due to a failure of the technology."

That would suggest that Srinath felt the error was due to a technological failure rather than human error.

Chaudhary is a member of the ICC's elite panel of umpires and enjoyed a very good first Test of the series as one of the on-field officials."
Wow. 2021 and we're seeing new levels of horsecrap from the perpetually victimised Hindustani nation, evidently desperate to get a win here. It's okay. If aussies refuse to walk or if aussie umpires cheat against Hindustan, then they lose their match fee, get fined, get banned, are forced to apologise and are declared as racist hinduophobes.

Kohli should get down on his filthy hands and knees and apologise to Moeen Ali, or is it only aussies who need to apologise these days?

Kohli got a blinder from Moeen and just wanted to check if the keeper's gloves might have clipped the wicket as the ball bounced a lot. Moeen also plays in the IPL.

3rd Umpire wasn't cheating but hasty in his ruling, they're probably going to change 3rd ump referral procedures and training here on. Good case study. Doubt Ajinkya was cheating either, he might not have felt that deflection, whole thing went down in a matter of seconds.

What a great game for India so far, day 2 and 8 wickets in just the first session, 4 Indian lower order + 4 England top order batsmen bit the dust (quite literally  )

What a crazy minefield of a pitch. End of the day India will probably be back in again batting and may lose a few wickets too.. match done by lunch tomorrow ?

To be perfectly fair, though. Not sure about pitches this bad.. the strip in the first one was still OK, cracked day 3, this thing was bad from session 1 day 1.. even from a commercial POV.. match over within 3 days :/

why did England dropped Anderson and Archer in this match when both were instrumental in their first test match victory. Is England really serious for this test series ?

England will be bowled out under 130 😁

Your country, fans and players have ruined cricket for millions of fans around the world.

Your pathetic, puerile, infantile boycott of Pakistan continues unabated. Allowing your anti-Pakistan, anti-Mughal hatred to leach into international sports is sheer toxicity. As if this isn't enough, folks like Moeen or Khawaja have come in for additional stick from your fans and press and players purely because of their origins.

It's pathetic and infantile, embarrassing to all grown men everywhere, yet it continues because nobody in India can actually apply checks and balances to such nonsense without being labelled as a terrorist sympathiser.

Honestly, I used to love cricket. With you lot in charge though, you simply take the ball away when you don't like how things are.

No one cares if you don't love cricket anymore. Pakistan should just drop out of this circus.

Managing workload for their quicks, they're fresh off a Sri Lanka series and have a lot of Test as well as the T-20 WC later. India rested Bumrah for this one too.

Whenever did Moeen or the Khwaja ever come in for extra stick from Indian fans and press just for being muslim ?

The boycott is unfortunate but it's a political thing, the BCCI does enjoy significant clout within the ICC (as they should, being the no1 revenue generator, by a good many miles)

You just salty you Brits are getting a proper whipping in Chennai, innit ? :D

This one will very likely be over tomorrow, and even though India will in all likelihood win this easy from here on, there probably needs to be a discussion about the quality of test pitches. Greedy bastards might do something when they realize a 3 day game hurts their revenue, 5 day balanced games are much better, and more fun for all watching.

The issue regarding Moeen Ali is a separate problem. It is very much connected to the hatred of the Indian state towards the nation state of Pakistan.

Notwithstanding that, that India's apparent intolerance of being beaten by a superior team who play higher quality cricket (certainly evident in Kohli's childish behaviour at being bowled by Moeen) has resulted in the inevitable 2nd test dustbowl is all too predictable. We all knew this would happen. It's nothing special to dustbowl a touring white team. It's frankly pathetic.

Dust bowls for white teams, obfuscation by biased umpires, and refusing to walk when clean bowled - I'm sure Gatting had a tour to Pakistan which was quite similar. India is doing this sort of rubbish in 2021.

We remember the stick they both came in for over the last five years. You may conveniently brush it under the carpet. Just ask yourself if an Aussie had refused to walk against Bumrah or some other Indian bowler, what would the fallout have been? Paine was bending over backwards apologising to you because of some sledging. Indians do as they please and nobody touches them because everyone knows India can take their ball away if they so feel.

You know sometimes it pays to take out green glasses to see the real world. Virat kohli didn't move because he wasn't sure he was bowled. Indians do not look at everything in religious angle. Infact Virat went to Mohd Siraj's house after he returned from Australia to congratulate and appreciate him. Even Moeen ali would not pontificate as much as you are doing here. Muslims for once needs to stop playing victim in every thing. I am pretty sure it is a south Asian muslim trait.

If not playing against Pakistan is killing cricket lover in you. I hope India continues to do so. No one cares about your misery.

.
Quite funny for idiotic people to say Kohli didn't move cos Moeen is a Muslim. How stupid can one get?
In IPL, Moeen plays for RCB captained by Kohli. Guess who is instrumental for getting him in the team in the first place.
When educated "Muslims" in first world country think like this, just think how people think in their majoritarian home societies.
