India-US alliance to check China will be catastrophic: Chinese media:

Any attempt by India to become US ally to counter China will not be in its interests and could even lead to "catastrophic results", a state-run Chinese daily said as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump held their maiden meeting.

"Washington and New Delhi share anxieties about China's rise. In recent years, to ratchet up geopolitical pressure on China, the US has cozied up to India," an article in the Global Times said.

Underlining that India is not a US ally like Japan or Australia, it said, "To assume a role as an outpost country in the US' strategy to contain China is not in line with India's interests. It could even lead to catastrophic results."

The daily said if India regresses from its non-alignment stance and becomes a "pawn" for the US in countering China, it will be caught up in a strategic dilemma and new geopolitical frictions will be triggered in South Asia.

Catastrophic for whom? For China or India?

On India? Well, India will pick up a bigger cane and hit back which will cost 50 Billion dollars per year to China.

Btw India & China, there is only one country that has the cane and it aint China.

India is a dirt poor third world country and only it's inhabitants who thinks highly of their country. If Pakistan, a smaller country can put India on leash, China can easily smash India under its foot. To make things easier, a joint Pak-China operation can do wonders as both nations got territorial disputes with India.

China should not cry for the crimes it has commited, if the rise of china is peaceful there would have been no arms build up and alliances.

China should introspect its own actions and defeciences rather than blame others who are reacting to Chinese aggression.

Commit crimes? no China is after India criminal and it shall be judge at our term, nothing wrong about that. If India is jealous and paranoid about China's rise, is that our problem? you can build arm and alliances as much as you want, China will adapt and act accordingly...when come to deal with India, China doesn't run out of options.

..and I'm wondering if India need to check itself on the mirror first before labeling other as aggression.
