@Bombaywalla How was the L&T's performance time wise on this project? On time?


I believe L&T's performance was as timely as the project constraints allowed it to be. Their delivery was spot, but the overall project was delayed by a few months because of issues beyond their control. Remember, this is one of the world's most constrained projects with many limitations with respect to site, construction operations, and more.

So, your company was subcontracted by India's L&T then? Good job.

No our company was nominated sub contractor for this project and Formglas recommended us for this job to Govt. We have parnership with Formglas in Atlantis the palm- Dubai project before.

That's great, so that means your company would have had to liaison with L&T Mumbai, right? Amazing job, and I love how immaculate the finishing is.

No bro we don't have to report L&T and we have co-ordinate with L&T and that what nominated subcontractor means and they have to report to client not consultant/contractor

Yes, that's why I said liaison. In addition to reporting to GVK project team/civil team, you would had to have liaison-ed with the main contractor i.e L&T, for they're the ones who designed and erected the massive steel skeletal structure upon which went the GFRG panels by Formglas. :)

No, we dont.
Calcutta and Chennai airports are horrible as standards go for major cities worldwide.

Chennai airport especially needs to be very good as it is the 3rd most used airport in India and considering that the Japanese are investing ridiculous amounts in Tamil Nadu, it needs to be as good as DIAL or MIAL(T2).


Plus have you seen the Lucknow airport?
