Incorrect.
It was Bangladesh who initially communicated to India that Jamaat and its affiliated terrorist organizations were jumping over to India to safety because they are being hunted in Bangladesh.
It was after GoB communicated this, that GoI started taking it seriously. And over the course of long and separate investigations into certain financial scams in West Bengal and money laundering probes it was found out that the ruling party of West Bengal was giving patronage to Bangladeshi Jamaat for vote bank. Money was being laundered to Jamaat from West Bengal.
Then there has been a third separate investigation which has revealed that office spaces registered under the current ruling political party was being used by Jamaati militants as bomb making unit. The bomb variety has also been confirmed - that some bombs found in BD have the same as those found in the bomb making unit in WB.
And now the final straw - that of conspiracy to attempt an assassination of the Bangladeshi PM.
It has become clear that Jamaat has been given patronage by the current Govt of West Bengal for vote bank politics and Law of the country has been broken willfully by TMC(ruling party) leaders.
It seems that Bangladeshi Govt was right in its allegations against West Bengal.
We hope that we are able to wrap this mess soon. The Government of India owes an apology to Bangladesh for letting Bangladeshi terrorists get a safe haven in our country.
We have failed to provide safety and security to our neighbour Bangladesh by of the actions of our state government. And now that GoI has become cognizant of this - heads will roll and there will be consequences. GoI has already sent the NSA to read the riot act to the state govt and NIA has taken over all investigations.
Simultaneously it has become a political storm in WB - this will unseat the ruling party in the coming elections.
All of this has nothing to do with Pakistan unless it is found that Jamaat e Islami Pakistan was aiding and abetting in this.
