If India had imperialistic intentions in Bangladesh, she could have easily annexed East Pakistan into the Indian Union after the decisive victory in the 1971 war. Chittagram Hills, which had more than 90% non-Muslim population in 1947 could have been claimed by India.
Bangladesh receives good rainfall, so there is no chance of it becoming a desert, even if India wishes so. Yes, the boundaries are not clearly demarcated and the issues of exclaves and enclaves do exist. The rivers do change courses and islands do disappear due to soil erosion. That does not mean that India is going to occupy Bangladesh, especially now when we have a pro-India government in Bangladesh.
On the other hand, India has its own concerns with Bangladesh ranging from illegal immigration (observed as aggression by the supreme court) to safe haven for terrorists in Bangladesh territory.
Closer cooperation between the two countries can resolve these issues.
India tried it right after our independence.Untill 1974 everything was going according to Indian plan,Rakkhi Bahini and other stuffs. Then Sheikh Mujib joined OIC in Pakistan turning down Indian warning in 1974.Then after 1975,when he was assasinated, things were out of Indian control.
So India tried to destablize Bangladesh by supporting Chittagong insurgents known as shanti Bahini. They were supplied arms and training. Its not mere rumour but confession of Shanti Bahini leaders.

Moreover in 1971,these people sided with Pakistan. Not India or Bangladesh.
About rainfall, you know about Global warming don't you?By end of June there was supposed to be heavy rain and flash floods. But this time, rain is hard to come by.

And together with Farraka and now Tipaimukh,You still think there is no chance of becoming desert?
About Indian terrorists in Bangladesh,
Just in last concluded meeting between BSF-BDG DGs,Bangladesh handed over a list of 1277 bangladeshi terrorists living in India.
Now which is a safe haven for terrorists?
Yes closer cooperation will solve the issue, but for that you need to become our neighbour not our Big brother.
