India cannot become a failed state because when India was poor and had hardly any friend barring Soviets and when west along with Pakistan was trying its best to break India by formenting trouble in Kashmir and Punjab we not just managed to survive but also reduced are arc nememis to dust.
Now we are third largest economy and largest democracy and we have everything going are way so are chances of now failing are minimal.

As far as yr love affair with China goes i need to remind you look what Chinese kiss did two of china's stanuchest allies. Pak and North korea are leading failed states of world. In Pakistan these days they are not even sparring Polio workers.

Now with return of Ji*hadi begum imminent looks like BD is headed the failed state way. Zia is just as corrupt as her present adversy but also she has soft corner for Pakistan. Now since she would freely let ISI use BD for anti India activities there would slowly arise a situation similar to what is happening in Pakistan. The spilling effect of Jiha*d machinery in pakistan is that today there is a highly radiclised local population in Pakistan . Group like Alqeda and LeT love such kind of enviroment as they can easily find recruits for their jihadii agenda. And slowly BD would be like Pak. Investors would shun BD just as they have done to Pakistan. In Pakistan even China is not ready to invest. So think about it !

I don't believe India is going to be a failed state in the foreseeable future. But you have to check your extremist Hindutva elements, they are a threat to your integrity- a fact a lot Indians seem to be unaware of. You must fight against corruption in the government and bureaucracy, but from inside a secular set-up. Otherwise India is on the right track.

Actually, India is for all practical purposes more or less a failed state. I don't see how India is on the right track. The state is unable to protect its own citizens. The judicial system is choked. The police are corrupt, understaffed. The parliament is filled with crooks. So what part of India works?

Hindutva extremist is a hyped up congress card, to make sure that their muslim votebank stays intact. Majority of the communal riots in India have been orchestrated by Congress party not "Hindutva extremists:, whatever that is.

India didn't need 9/11 to come to terms with terrorism. We have been suffering from this menace much longer than that and sadly no other country cared about concerns. Infact its the rest of the world who finally saw the ugly face of terrorism post 9/11.

There is no terrorism "trump card". You won't be calling it a trump card, if it was your countrymen being blown to bits by the terrorist scum bags.

you are absolutely right!actually the bangladeshis in this forum are staunch BNP+Jammat supporters and maybe some of them are the descendants of the razakars who were left stranded in bangladesh when it gained freedom from pakistan!but these people belong to a minority group which perceives India to be its enemy bgut the majority of the bangladeshis are good friendly people who consider India to be a friend of Bangladesh(believe me mate i have met many of them who are infact muslims and they themselves say that there are some islamic fundamentalists present in BD who always try to disrupt thr Indo-BD co-operation!).normal bangladeshis are far more friendlier to the Indians!

There is this some kind of delusional mindset in a few Indians, just the way some Pakistanis blame a "unknown Jewish lobby" for every menace...in India..this delusional mindset blames ISI for every fault..even if it has nothing to do with Pakistan, just like in this case.

One thing India should understand is, that we have tons of problems, why would ISI or Pak be interested in Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Mayammar....Pakistan has no interest in that region infact it has nothing to do with that region...Pakistan already faces too many problems on its western borders and is busy fighting a war.
