I don't understand why Indians or Pakistanis get so excited by this piece of news.

It is just trade. Trading is beneficial to all parties concerned. It has been happening through out the world for a long time now.

Firstly its letter to editor on this note "The Pak-Afghan pact was signed between Pakistan and Afghanistan under pressure from the USA on July 18. Under this pact, Pakistan will provide transit trade between Afghanistan and India through its air space. "

jonasad, The leap India has made is because of its economic centric policy and neutral approach and as you talk about Pak's economy is down because of WoT then this is faulty assumptions. India's expense on Army for north eastern region and In Kashmir impacts heavily to economy but we are living with it and moving ahead with faster pace.

i urge you all to read the following links, so that you can understand whats going on in WoT, why it is impacting heavily on the economy of Pakistan.

Ppl comparing WoT to Indian Occupied Kashmir or Maoists should talk logic and sense, i dont need few lines of an indian keyboard warriors personal thoughts attached with lot of their comrades thanks,

Provide some proofs, links, sources as i have provided to logicaly counter that WoT has not impacted Pakistan's economy,

The Money, aid, ammo you guys brag about that america is giving us is roughly the 10% of total expenditure we have to spend on WoT, thats whats impacting our economy badly, and these are not just my personal thoughts, i have provided links to back my claim.

india has its own share of terrorism to tackle - maoists, n.e. insurgencies , militancy in kashmir . so dont say india has nothing else to worry about. still we are progressing . so your argument that wot hinders economic growth is lame.

Can you provide something to make me believe, or for the sake of the argument provide some links how much so called militancy in Kashmir is impacting your economy? so we can compare it with WoT of Pakistan?

Maoists? Is your army doing any full scale operation in their Area like we did in SWAT, FATA, Waziristan etc etc ? is IAF involved? some thing out of ordinary that made you believe that the cost and its effect is comparable to Pakistani Wot?

Only Afghanistan can carry goods to India, not the other way round.

Kerry Lugar bill got passed by the same parliamnet (less few jali Degree walay) There will be shosha hawwa for some time then eventually this trade agreement will be passed aswell.
Wonder how many $$ ooh Indian Rupees our parlimentarinans will get this time.
