India to have shield from missiles of 5,000 km range

Wait till end June ..Sure may be A Journal Report

You mean Sabotaging with Special Forces

No...think they are going to mount it on an air plane which will be loitering in our air space and on command will destroy the missile in the boost phase itself inside enemy airspace

India is working on technology to destroy enemy missiles in the launch phase itself...so your MIRV's are no good and will explode in China's airspace itself

Best of luck with targeting a missile thousands of kilometers away under two minutes

And if you are thinking about laser based system, best of luck with that too...as the best Laser-based BMD (YAL-1 demonstrator) was effective upto 300km away for solid fueled missiles.

The technology don't exist yet...India is planning to develop a laser based weapon system as part of its defense to intercept and destroy missiles soon after they are launched towards the country. DRDO's Air Defence Programme Director V. K. Saraswat says its ideal to destroy a ballistic missile carrying nuclear or conventional warheads in its boost phase. Saraswat further added that it will take another 10–15 years for the premier defence research institute to make it usable on the ground

US has the technology to destroy a missile when its launched. Above that, the laser is mounted on a 747 and if the 747 is in position to shoot down the launched missile it will shoot it down.

Do you guys plan to develop such a weapon system in 15 years?

The only problem is the range of the laser and the ability to detect the launch immediately. As any one planning to launch a nuclear missile attack against the US is not likely to tell the US military the exact location of the missile launch.

We already have the laser but it is not powerful or small enough to mount on an airplane...also in regards to detecting missile launches and their location what are early warning satellites for

satellite is not good enough, would India have a more advance technology than US today in 15 years? Evan for Americans, the ability to shoot down a missile accurately in booste phase is still decades away. For India, its most likely centuries.

US already have such a plane and laser to shoot down iCBM. but its not practical.

That is my response to a troll...now shoo..go away :omghaha:

Well, you have not presented any argument against point. Instead, you call me a troll. Very mature of you. Just because you are in summer break that you don't have any bed time.

:hitwall: this just shows your mindset to troll on each and every topic that relates to India...in this age of the world being a global village and co-operation between friendly nations...technology is not far reaching from the hands of people who have got the green stuff and are ready to pay or maybe the US will be ready to collaborate with us as they are on the BMD program and share technology and learn from each other's technology...they were even interested in the Prithvi missile technology at one time for its ability to maneuver within the lower atmosphere during flight...and in regards to the bolded stuff...we have been here for centuries and we will be still be here for centuries while the immediate world around us will be crumbling and be wanting to put impediments in each and every step which we will aspire to take and we will ignore them and still be marching ahead...

PEACE

You can continue to spread BS like 'India will take centuries to make a DEW' ,'India and Pakistan are at the same level in space research' and the like...no one cares :omghaha:

@faithfulguy your mind is just like the image which implies that you only want to see what you wish to see and not the reality
