Air Superiority in quantity is a factor, BUT IAF is focusing on is Quality, as its adversaries lack sheer quality of future acquisitions, relying on unreliable free goodies and low tech. reverse engineered toyas!!:agree:

Is that why the Tejas' picture never made it into the list?

It is not the equipment that matters (mostly), its the WAY how you use that equipment. If India goes into Aggressive mode against Pakistan, India will require complete Air Superiority over Pakistan before it can use its low tech jets for Ground Support. And Complete Air Superiority does not meat catering PAF alone, it also includes catering PA Air Defense.
So, yes there is going to a technological gap but it doesn't mean that PAF will be unable to defend.

not mostly, but 1/2-1/2. You still can't do anything if you are blind beyond a certain range whereas the amateur still has all eyes on you.

Comparing the size of two nations India need atleast 1:2 ratio.since PAF will employ defensive strategy(which they claims) we need more fighters and bombers hopes we will make it by end of this decade.good luck IAF

Yeah I know, and this is the command which is gonna get nearly maximum of the latest inducted aircraft in the next decade, so which ever way we go, end result is that Pakistan is the target, not China. :)

Article does not say that "nearly maximum" of the latest inducted aircraft would be in western command. It is obvious western command get its share but to state it nearly maximum is a bit over.

Sorry for the one linner BUT 65,71 did no good for the indians despite the1:3 ratio or techno edge.

Keep in mind that we are not behind too much in terms of equipment. F-16's, JF's, Possible J-10's and J-11B's, Airborne Early Warning system. Ground Based Defense system etc. It is not very easy for IAF to take out Pakistani Targets, they surely are going to have a tough time.

Ur saying this because we as a functional stable democracy let the media report on the failures nd crashes because we believe failures are the stepping stone for sucess.

God knows how many of ur crappy copied flying tin cans crashed if not for ur tight govt control over ur press.:hitwall:.example being the recently released picture of J 10 crash.

So dont troll around this good forum with ur BS :angry:.Every aircraft one time or another crashes nd for ur kind info most aircraft crashes are not due to pilot error or aircraft quality but due to the extended life of them in IAF.

We are in the process of replacing them or upgrading them wherever applicable and i fear in the future u ll have nothing to write abt crashes.
