The terrain won't allow it, when was the last time you were in Bangladesh.. 3 layered fencing with smart elements is what we are looking forward to. But the riverine areas pose a challenge as i have witnessed first hand in the past.


Very difficult job in Meghalaya, that is were work remains to be done. Bangladesh has a fair share of Garo and Khasis, and centuries old traditions and patterns of land possession make that very difficult. Plains in Bengal and Barak in Assam can be easily managed. Then we have to secure Tripura and Mizoram(though not a border state) from these unscrupulous elements.

I go to BD every year but didn't visit the border areas.

Secure the entire border with whatever mechanism you can. We want that too. Don't want to hear whinging about illegal immigration.
