Human Poverty Index (HPI) - Human Development Reports
Bcoz their purchasing power is good, a chinese in china will live happily in if he have $1000, but in india, he will be called poor,
bcoz of high inflation and depreciation of exchange rates!
Do you even know what you are talking about? If purchasing power is good that means Chinese can buy more stuff...and they can buy even more in India...
High inflation? Inflation in India is 0.27%(partially due to slow down)and China has 4%. That hardly matters because the poerty line was set in 2005 when both India and China were growing at 9%. In 2008 China had an inflation rate of 8.7%, India had about 5%. moreover poor in India recieve food via public distribution channels, that provides them food at 50-60% subsidy.. You have no clue what you are talking about.... please keep you crappy economics to yourself..
Yeah their purchasing power is good!
Bcoz there GDP per capitaa is 3 times higher then india!
So they can buy 3 time more stuff in india too!
India's exchange rates are falling but china's exchange rates are appreciating!

This not abt how many people lives below $1.25!
NYT: Lives of poverty, untouched by China's economic boom
And as WB claims, poverty has actually tripled in China in the last 3 decades. Noone believes Chinese figures, because they are quite fictitiuos, and we all know how verifiable Chinese statistiscs are. It is evident from the fact that China's Poverty line is half that of India, when its GDP is nearly 3 times!!!..Care to explain me that?
now where is the link for your picture?
