We should not rely on monetary numbers. A better number is consumption of energy and goods. A stronger economy would consume more.

Apparently according to leaked reports one of the senior members of the party admitted that the official figures were false and asked that they should rely on energy consumption and rail freight.

Well, somehow they have the fastest growing major economy. That take some creativity with numbers. Indians like to brag that they invented zero.. Now, they have more to brag about.
