I think you forget how Maratha a** got kicked  Forget about Marathi chamars ruling subcontinent. They only won against their own kind, mughal army was full of local hindus and muslims.

Without British Subcontinent would have been divided in dozen countries or even more.

This should cheer you up ^^^

If you are wondering - where did the Great Mughal Empire go... please check this -
Delhi had fallen to the Marathas in 1757-58 and their forces had penetrated and captured Peshawar and Attock
Conflict and Conquest in the Islamic World: A Historical Encyclopedia: A ... - Google Books

"This incident has a special importance in Indian history, particularly Hindu history since, after nearly seven and a half centuries when the last Hindu King of the region Trilochan Pal Shahi had been defeated by Mahmud of Ghazni in 1020 C.E., Indus river came under Hindu rule due to the Maratha conquest of Punjab in 1758. This campaign of the Marathas led by Raghunath Rao is hailed as Raghu's Bharari - i.e. whirlwind campaign in Maharashtra even today."

So yes - without the English( and the traitorous Indians) we would have been a democratic republic with a Maratha Nominal Constitutional Monarch.

Oh btw - the pic is after Durrani drove out the Marathas from Indus in late 58.

They would also have integrated remaining kingdoms into Maratha Empire, had British not collaborated with their rival princely states like Nizam of Hyderabad.

Nizam was a wh0re state in Indian history. Sometime they paid tribute to the Marathas(being their client state) and sometimes fighting them(Anglo Maratha War). Hell, they even allied with Nizam and the British when fighting against Mysore. So yeah - taking Hyderabad would have solved a lot of problems. But then we have the advantage of seeing things in retrospect.

They are not yet united. Taiwan and Mainland both claim themselves to be China. How can a single country is ruled by two different governments;)

What an oxymoron! Of course it can't. Taiwan is not considered a country by UN and the world. :omghaha::omghaha:

Another proof that Indians are NOT capable of any intellectual discussion, except making retarded logic.

Retarded baniya why did you remove the important part of history? Punjab has always been divided in different tribes or religions since ancient times, only Ranjeet Singh united muslims, hindus and sikhs to form common defence against invaders.

Maratha invaded punjab but their rule only lasted 2 years ;). And the reason Marathas could defeat Mughal army was because Mughals were fighting Pashtuns also at the same time.

. .
The guys who have provided the figures and study the world economy will not be as smart as you. That is why they may have ignored it. They need a person like you to consult.

Indian intellect prowess strikes again! Dimwitted indian didn't know economics research without empirical data is not valid science. None of Angus Maddison's works on ancient world economy is based on empirical data. This is a well known fact in the academic circle.

The numbers Maddison estimates for the years before 1820 are fictions. They are based not on empirical evidence, but on unsubstantiated and demonstrably implausible theories of the nature of life in pre-industrial societies. Even some of the post 1820 estimates have an equivalently dubious provenance.

Food for thought - One can't be a Baniya and retarded at the same time

Once again Dumb chines has popup with his BS intellect to prove himself a laughable stock on PDF. According to Chinese, What ever say that chine is good is a valid source. Whatever says otherwise is not a valid source. After all economics is not and never been a pure science like Physics or Chemistry. It is some thing which rely a lot on collection, survey and interpretation of some relevant economic DATA. A lots of conclusions are arrived at by applying models and statistical formulas. I am not surprised that a citizen of a country having very poor standard of economic information reporting may think like that.
e.g

Local governments inflated China’s GDP by $900 billion last year—and that’s not going to stop soon – Quartz

Now he will say that the article was not reliable.

The Shaikh Chilli dream again...

In 1982, India had the 10th largest economy in the world and thirty years later, in 2012 India is still at the 10th place.

Our Indian neighbours should note the following:

* Between 1980-1989, India's Nominal GDP ranking fluctuated between the 9th and the 12th position.
* Between 1990-1999, India's Nominal GDP ranking fluctuated between the 12th and the 16th position.
* Between 2000-2009, India's Nominal GDP ranking fluctuated between the 11th and the 14th position.
* Between 2010-2013, India's Nominal GDP ranking fluctuated between the 9th and the 11th position.

How exactly? If India couldn't do it in the last 10 years (but China did), then how do you imagine India to do so during the next 10 years of the world recovering from recession?

Read my post again (I've added China as a comparison):

In 1982, India had the 10th largest economy in the world and thirty years later, in 2012 India is still at the 10th place.

Interestingly enough, back in 1981 India's GDP also ranked as the 10th largest ($196 billion) in the world while China's GDP ranked 15th ($168 billion) for the same year.

However, by 1982 China overtook India jumping to the 8th position and China rose to the second position years ago.

Our Indian neighbours should note the following:

* Between 1980-1989, India's Nominal GDP ranking fluctuated between the 9th and the 12th position.
* Between 1990-1999, India's Nominal GDP ranking fluctuated between the 12th and the 16th position.

We are 3 rd largest economy in PPP terms. We have surpassed JAPAN last year.

List of countries by GDP (PPP) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Look Pakistan's GDP is 0.215 Trilion USD in Nominal term against 0.515 USD in PPP terms. Pakistan is not as poor country as it looks to be in nominal term. because their PPP is actually higher than nominal GDP.
