Okay so that settles the problem of slow soldiers. What if it were a real spy craft or even a surprise attack? The slow excuse wont suffice then to the people who would lose their loved ones.

And when there was a quick response and the downing of the atlantique, we saw Pakistan claiming foul...

And going by logic next intrusions would have been shot down even sooner. Yet 6 months. I can imagine there would have been several incidents of open fire at them and not seeing any fireball. That must have been funny.

Then again you can say during Kargil we did have a slow response. Pakistan was fully entrenched by the time we mobilised.

Looks like it varies from case to case. Well a country cant be all knowing, mistakes at times do happen.

Yes mistakes happen but its way too much for many here to admit it and without realizing their weakness they harp on their one day super power status.

But since after 26/11, I would have thought soldiers would have been more vigilant.

Instead we keep hearing of wishful shoot downs and airstrikes. And one that I laugh at from a clown, "can be done but wont". So what exactly is the point of that statement.

That is because you will rather mock a huge achievement for a petty mistake, and that too a burocratic delay rather than a mistake.

You should also realise every country aims to improve the lives of its citizens, and we Indians can rightly be proud of all our achievements till date. And mind you its not the Indians harping about super power in this case, its Singapores ex pm.

90% of Indians on PDF are already super power citizens, atleast they think they are forget the dreamers else where.

How long will you still be able to run with past incidents as references? How does making same mistakes as others makes it okay? Some of you say it was a slow process, some defend with space faring nation, some are ready to go shoot down drones in flying within Pakistan all while not paying attention to self.

I beg to disagree, Pakistanis do have this habit of asking for it.. Operation Gibralter, Grand-slam, Siachen, Kargil.. big names, plans of big four star generals..Well, all of them got what they asked for..
