India test fires first underwater Brahmos cruise missile

^^ Hello.
My buttoks say that the pics are from a distance and dont prove if the missile is brahmos.

Even if its Brahmos then 'Buttoks' say that only three stages are visible ,the fourth most important parimeter has been skipped for suspicious reasons.
Three stages shown are... Gas ejetion of missile out of water, seperation of air intake cap and ignition of rocket booster.
Did the main ramjet ignite????
Thats where most sub launched cruise missiles fail..

Tsk... Tsk... No the main ramjet engine did not ignite ... the poor Brahmos chief has to physically carry the missile at the designated target over his head. And The chief was hanging behind a flying Mig 27 with a rope holding "The Failed Brahmos" over his head in a "Flying Superman" position. When the Mig reached the designated target , the Brahmos chief dropped the missile over the target but still missed by a mile.

See ... in order to save this embarrassment, the Brahmos chief has gagged the pics of his "Flying Superman carrying Brahmos" pics from the public domain.

This will satisfy your buttock with our "Failed Brahmos" !!!

There is no pic of flying brahmos...just the rocket motor ingition.....
Cruise missiles fired out of water often fail to ignite their main engine..
No evidence Brahmos could start ramjet or dropped dead after rocket motor seperation....

Can't you read ... butt hurt !!!

The Brahmos was carried over personally by the Brahmos chief to the designated target... then why one needs to ignite ramjet ... there was no ramjet ... the missile was carrying a water pistol filled with colored water ... see its holi time in India.

If the test is failed, then they say it failed, or otherwise ... there is nothing in our media stating otherwise ... all of them say it was successful ... so take your butt where there is network centric Ballistic missile launch where the missile keeps on floating in space for 10 hours and then suddenly drops on the heads of the villagers ...

And plz share some of your super sophisticated Babur missile hitting its Target. If you can't, then does that mean the Babur dropped dead before it reached its target ....Moron !!!

Fake news....
This news is a face saving effort to get them out of the shame caused by Nirbhay failure. :D

You wont see any as the news is fake.

AHHH Finally resorted to base Trollery, I see.
Either way we welcome you your majesty.

You don't have to worry about that, unlike Pakistan we don't say that the missile is operational after only traveling 17km.
BTW as from the picture the missile has clearly ignited.

You were quite quick to believe DRDO when they said that Nirbhay failed but not so swift when the BrahMos completed 292km of its course. If that is how you feel then maybe Nirbhay didn't fail since we didn't see the Nirbhay video, u should be doubtful of its failure too, RIGHT?????????

^^ My suspicions are based on simple 'facts'.
They showed videos of K-15 a non commercial missile.
The videos were detailed and showed first stage seperation, second ignition and missile settling in deoresses trajectory.
Now here s 'commercial' missile meant for sale..and no videos???

This pic 'clearly' shows rocket booster igniting...not the ram jet...
Thats where most sub launched cruise missiles fail.

Only the 12th launch was shown to the media - this was Brahmos's first - similarly was the first of Nirbhay launch not shown. DRDO probably waits for the platform to mature before disclosing the launch vids.

K15 was shown after a series of trials ! PERIOD. Just like Brahmos was shown after atleast 10 successful trials..

btw pray just show me ONE okay ONE video of babur hitting the target. !! Rest we can discuss later !

If you can't show video of Babur hitting the target, does that mean Babur dropped from the sky and failed to hit the target ... My suspicions are also based on simple 'facts'.
1. How many times Babur has been tested ?
2. How many of those tests, do you have a video proof of Babur hitting the target?
3. If none, does that mean all of Babur tests failed?
4. If three, does that mean the rest of Babur tests failed?
5. A missile hitting its target is the ultimate truth, does Babur has video of hitting target and underlying that truth?
6. Tell me how many times Brahmos has been test fired and do you have pics or videos of each test?
7. Asking stupid questions is not going to reduce the pain in your buttocks.

BrahMos signifies lack of planning in Defence

By The New Indian Express

The successful launch of a BrahMos missile from an underwater platform off the Visakhapatnam coast in the Bay of Bengal on March 20 is a feather in the cap of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). That it is the first time anywhere in the world that an underwater platform has been used to launch a missile makes the achievement all the more creditable. The underwater platform and the vertical lift-off give the missile 360-degree coverage and the ability to evade the radar. The missile hit the target — a decommissioned ship — at a distance of 290 km from the launch area. It could only be described as a textbook launch.

Defence Minister A.K. Antony has congratulated all those who made the project a success. It is certainly a moment of pride for the whole country. However, amidst all the celebrations the launch warrants, there is one aspect that should not be overlooked. The underwater platform used for the test has its own limitations. It cannot be moved as and when it is needed in a war-like situation. The ideal platform for the missile is a submarine but, unfortunately, none of the vessels in India’s possession has the capability to launch such a weapon. Nor can they be adapted to meet the requirements of a vertical lift-off.

Of course, India has plans to build what is called the Project-75 India submarines, which will have the capability to launch BrahMos. At present, the new generation submarines are just a pipe dream. With even the initial global tender or the request for proposal (RPF) for the submarines yet to be floated, the earliest India can have a submarine capable of launching the missile is 2023. With fast-changing developments in technology and warfare, there is no certainty that what is developed today will not be obsolete 10 years later. If anything, this shows the utter lack of long-term strategic planning in the defence establishment, where one hand does not know what the other does.

So why don't you wait for some time like a decent person would before spewing premature evaluation all over the place.
Think Tank doesn't suit you, seriously............
It'll definitely come in time, as of now we believe the words of DRDO who have guts enough to say that Nirbhay failed and pride enough to say that they successfully tested an underwater supersonic cruise missile.
