Your own Army knows they are no match, how long do you think you will be able to stand against the nation with the largest manufacturing base in the world? We can make unlimited numbers of indigenous weapons systems, while India will have to buy them from overseas. Not that it will require many missiles to sink an Indian ship.

As a principal Merchant ships do not wander into war zone unless permitted by the the country(imposing the blockade) or carrying the 'red cross'(signifying they are a hospital ship).
