And yet the soon to be Defense Minister of the US says that India "financed problems for Pakistan" from Afghanistan and that India are using Afghanistan as a "second front" against Pakistan and now you assert these statements to be true -- it will be interesting how the Pakistani establishment will use these statements in the coming months -- I doubt that they will make a big deal of it just yet but I would be very surprised if this issue does not become a significant issue.

You are entering into a very bad territory. You are trying to justify terrorism funded by India on pretext of terrorism that came from Pakistan.

There can be no justification of terrorism. I don't care what terrorists infiltrate from Pakistani side. Our military can deal with them. But there is no reason to support terrorism in Pakistan. There is no justification to respond terrorism with terrorism. India has now lost its moral side in India-Pak conflict.

Pakistanis are failing to understand what Hagel said..he did nt say India is financing terror...but India's financing trouble for Pakistan..It means India's development works in Afghanistan is creating concerns for Pakistan..and the reason this has become big news is because of the nomination process of Hagel..This video was released by his Republican opponents to shore up support among the Indian community against his appointment..Already he has Israeli lobby against his nomination..The republicans are hoping that with Indian lobby also supporting them..they will surely destroy hagel's chance of confirmation for the secretary of defence post..As of now Republicans are getting support from the Indian lobby on this..so this video of Hagel has no bearance in International politics or atleast in India-Pakistan context.

Major partner is US which has a strategy and a goal of smashing Pakistan.

In case US plans fail to smash Pakistan, US is preparing to leave the dead dog on the doors of India - Meaning blaming India for all the Pakistani troubles.

US hopes that India/Pakistan to remain in conflict forever.

Its amazing how US manipulates both nations - India and Pakistan and turn them against each other.

My advice to Indian Govt - break the unholy alliance with US. It will be better for future of India.

It's realy unfortunate that such imprecise language is being used - the US has no desire to "smash" Pakistan, it wants to bend Pakistan to it's will, to allow Pakistan to become an instrument of US policy - and it will not shrink from using all means including terrorism in Pakistan, and the targeting and recruitment of Pakistani politicians, bureaucrats and especially armed forces officers, to serve US policy objectives and ends.

And you are absolutely spot on that India would not be acting without the approval of the US, and the Pakistan government, the Army and ISI, have given clearance to US army to build intelligence centers in Karachi and Islamabad airports. It certainly appears to be one giant mess

WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama's defence secretary nominee Chuck Hagel in his speech made in 2011 had alleged that India has "financed problems" for Pakistan through its role in war-ravaged Afghanistan.

Chuck Hagel had delivered the above speech at Oklahoma's Cameron University in 2011 in which he said: "India for some time has always used Afghanistan as a second front, and India has over the years financed problems for Pakistan on that side of the border".

"And you can carry that into many dimensions, the point being the tense, fragmented relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan has been there for many, many years," Chuck Hagel who was a US senator at the time remarked.

India had brushed aside the allegations as "contrary to reality".

According to Times of India website, the Indian embassy in Washington reacted by saying, "Such comments attributed to Senator Hagel, who has been a long-standing friend of India and a prominent votary of close India-US relations are contrary to the reality of India's unbounded dedication to the welfare of Afghan people".

The Indian Embassy further said that India's commitment to a peaceful, stable and prosperous Afghanistan is unwavering, "and this is reflected in our significant assistance to Afghanistan in developing its economy, infrastructure and institutional capacities".

You could've been right if you said that 5 years ago. But the destabilization of Pakistan, orchestrated by US since last 5 years, indicates US wants collapse of Pakistan as a nation state.

At this point, US has employed its full resources to smash Pakistan. Economic warfare, funding of insurgents and terrorists, Drone attacks, media disinfo and subversion, instigating crisis of national identity.

Only reason Pakistan is still a single nation on world map is because of Pakistan military which has kept it together.
