kid where do you get those fancy numbers? middile-class according to your bharati propaganda and delusion?
your indian private car ownership is like 1/5 of China's, and your fashion, lesiure and high end commodity consumption is a drawft compared to China, not to mention Luxury sector (cant even compared to a chinese city HK)``these are the essential parameters of a nation's purchasing power of its middle-class population.. but your so-called '35%' middle-class's annual consumption of those are less than a Chinese city``lol
New Recruit
India is a joke and will become a super joke, not a super power.
New Recruit
May be --we wont be able to become "Super power"(according to china and pakis). But atleast u have to admit we are getting some "POWER" in almost every field.SO whats wrong on that why chinease and pakis are feeling so jelous on that. After all it will be an asean rise. And please pakistani people do waste time by finding short comings of india. Each and everyday i hear some drone attack on ur won land.please to some constractive job .make your country atleast so strong that no other country cant attack your land and fly back unharmed.

nice joke.
by 2040 india will extremely lucky if its country has not broken into 10 different countries.
Actually that is true.
There is a big North/South and East/West divide in India.

India is not going to be a super-power.
British Empire and then USA were lucky that they are surrounded by water which gives the ability to project power without a fear of a land invasion of their country.
India has no such luxury. With China on one side, Pakistan on the other. India is hemmed in. And it can't breakthrough to project power as it needs major resources tied up defending its homeland.
The only thing India can manage is being a regional power in South Asia and thats it.
And besides, India buys its weapons from other countries. Heck, even a 7 million population little country like Israel sells weapons over 1.2 billion Indians.
Thats the saddest part.
How many countries have lined up to buy sophisticated Indian Made Weaponry? ZERO
India historically is not a country. There were empires that composes a big part of today's Indian nation. But what tie the people of India subcontinent today is not different than what ties Europe together.
Today's India is resulted from the dissolution of the British empire. The founders of India militarily conquered states of India and name the country India. Otherwise, India today would composed of little countries base on state borders.
But Indians in PDF have more ambitions. They talk about exporting Brahmos or Tajas to Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and more recently, Vietnam and Philippines. Like if a country has any sort of conflict with China, Indian in here like to export these weapons.
Actually that is true.
