India successfully tests short-range surface to surface guided ballistic missile ‘Pralay’ off Odisha coast: DRDO - Counter to Pakistan Fatah-1 missile

Besides the juvenile retardship i like the argument that your DGISPR is an unprofessional person whose words cannot be believed. :pop:

Well, for us and for any sane person in the word it is very easy to comprehend whats going on and whats truth.. Seeing information, facts, photos / video and on top using your own mind.... But for YOU, picking commas and getting selective in screenshot of tweets and doing gossip over it while overlooking the facts and suppressing the common sense.. That's what it is : D ..

P.S popcorn emjoji won't hide your burning azz :D .. So what is it ?. you think his words cannot be believed ehh ?. .or it si ?. make up your mind :)

It was too easy for indians to end this forever humiliation, but they kept insisting on comical explanation and gossips as their fact-book .. Can't help it.. Will keep ridiculing those Bakhts

Why Pralay quasi-ballistic missile, tested by DRDO today, will be a ‘game-changer’ for Army

Pralay, a surface-to-surface conventional quasi-ballistic missile with a range of up to 500 km, was tested from Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Island off Odisha and 'met all its objectives'.

New Delhi: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Wednesday successfully carried out the maiden test of ‘Pralay’, a new surface-to-surface conventional quasi-ballistic missile, in a boost for India’s tactical battlefield strategy.

A quasi-ballistic missile has a low trajectory, and while it is largely ballistic, it can manoeuvre in flight. The missile has a range of 150-500 kilometres and has been developed according to specifications given by eventual user, the Army.
The missile was tested from the Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha and met all its objectives, said a statement issued by the Defence Ministry.

The statement added that the new missile followed the desired quasi-ballistic trajectory and reached the designated target with a high degree of accuracy, validating the control, guidance and mission algorithms.
The missile is powered with a solid propellant rocket motor and multiple new technologies. Sources in the defence establishment underlined that accuracy is a highlight of this missile.

Capable of being launched from a mobile launcher, it has the latest navigation system and integrated avionics, and will be part of the Artillery Corps of the Army.

Pralay will be the longest-range surface-to-surface missile in the inventory of the Army, which sources said will give a fillip to their operational plans.
The Army also has the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile in its arsenal, with a stated range of 290-plus kilometres.

‘Change tactical battlefield dynamics’
Former DRDO scientist R.K. Gupta said “Pralay is a game-changer”.
“It will completely change the tactical battlefield dynamics and India will have two conventional missiles with long range. The BrahMos will be a cruise option and this one will be the ballistic option,” he added.

Cruise missiles and ballistic missiles have their own distinct advantages.
While cruise missiles have high agility, stealth and even loitering capability, ballistic missiles have the advantage of speed and countering them is a very difficult task even for modern air defence systems.
Sources said that the Pralay missile project was sanctioned in 2015 and is a derivative of the Prahaar missile programme, which was first tested in 2011.
That missile is yet to be inducted since a greater range was sought.

Hi bro though I'm against the use of nuclear weapons I just wanted to know if we have such a small tactical nuclear weapons which can be deployed on this missile to use in a small limited war theater such as to stop enemy advance in our territory..... we know Pakistan has already deployed such miniature nukes on their Nasr missile but do we have such small tactical battlefield nukes.....

Yes, we have tactical nuclear weapons that caters to escalation ladder as using strategic weapons on cities in response to Pakistan' NSAR missile isn't a very comfortable choice. So use of Pralay missiles comes into play to this scenario where Pakistani military installations would be heavily targeted with tactical nukes with very good accurately so that impact on civilians could be curtailed.

That's why I said Indian militaries procurement procedure must change.
They are flying antique Mig21s, getting shot down and bringing dishonor to entire nation while finding fault with LCA for dozen odd years.

Tonbo designs all its products and manufactures commercially viable parts of those products.

If we go by ur line of thinking, someone would say HAL doesn't manufactures significant parts, but instead it's more of a solution provider by buying stuff from others and integrating it.
Pralay and AgniP are counter force weapons.

They will use small nukes to destroy enemy nuclear sites with pin point accuracy.

That's why I said it will never be used. If u use small nuclear missiles, others will also do the same.
No1 wants that. Not even Korean dictator and he's bat shit crazy.

India is, in fact, fighting its own insecurities and fears, from China, by carrying out these tests and then propagating them on media.

All propaganda vote-getter tactic from bhakt thought-leader IT coolies who can then chest-beat about these useless weapons.

Meanwhile plan for providing toilets to majority of Indians becomes even more Dilli door ast....

I do not know leaders of any other country who depend on regular testing of these weapons (Meee-Jyles) and then propagandizing them for votes.

India is already poorer than Bangladesh, as if outsiders think India is sooo lucrative to invade...

You care about SAAAFTII of Pakistani civilians?? That's a new one...

When we are talking about Indian-made, anything assumed "PIIN-PAYENT" is assuming too much. CEP margin of error assumed to be couple of KMs at minimum. Absolutely nothing works as planned in India. Nothing.

And go read the Nuclear weapons rulebook again about use of tactical nuclear weapons. They don't teach that at the RSS shakha.

Pralay's testing marks some significant changes in the way we make missiles - utilizing the components and tech in the existing missiles rather than reinventing the wheel every time and leaving the scope for future improvements. This is pretty impressive for DRDO that's stuck with sarkari thinking for a long time.

Looking forward to seeing the induction of this beast, while hoping that there is no need to use it.

India tests Pralay missile. Is counter to Pakistan Fatah-1 missile and similar Chinese TBM.
Range upto 500 km with 500 kg payload.
Each launcher has two missiles and misisle are of a silimar class as Iskander latest versions.
Huge huge threat for Pak and Chinese HQ-9, S-400, S-300 etc.

Pralay is a quasi-ballistic tactical missile. Fatah is an MRLS like Pinaka-2. Man, you really need to make the right comparison. Tactical quasi-ballistic missiles are meant for conventional strikes deep inside enemy territory, without escalating the war to nuclear. MRLS is more frontline rocket artillery.

... 500 Kms is more than enough to attack Pakistani positions without even crossing the IB.
If you had used your brain, you would've known that all ballistic missile attacks on Indian positions will be launched without having to cross the IB.
