It isn't exactly existing. But an ICBM can be modified to be an anti sat weapon. Most of the technologies already existed, still, more work was required along with political will.

It's certainly not new, but shooting a satellite in LEO is still harder than destroying a ballistic missile at 70-100km. It would be nice to know the distance/orbit of the satellite that was shot down. If it was large, it is quite a huge achievement.

This is a good one. We should be proud of ISRO/DRDO combo here. Nothing to do with Modi - work on this would have decided before he even decided fighting elections. Like Agni has nothing to do with Congress.
