India Successfully Connects 68,000 Village Panchayats With Optical Fibre #DigitalIndia

I too had 100 mbps 230 gb connection, but it is faster than the read/write speed of my hard disk,50 mbps is god enough.
Actually 100mbps is not faster than the read write speed of a hard disk ,even a really old hard disk,

100 mbps is mega bits per second, which would come to around 11-12 Mega Bytes per second
Your hard disk speeds, even going on the slower side would be atleast around 30-40/60-70 .(write/read speeds) Mega Bytes per second

But yeah, 50mbps is good enough for most part.

Very low penetration of net in India.

200 GB,uploads not counted, 2 mbps after (they have never reduced it, even though I've gone above the limit many times)

Crossed 200 GB in a month ? Wow... I barely use 30-35 GB..

Indian net speed = Slow as snail:

Broadband internet speeds in India are among the slowest in the world, with an average of 2.8Mbps as of December 2015. South Korea on the other hand, has an average speed of 29 Mbps. The government of India is in the process of correcting that to an extent by boosting up the minimum broadband speeds from 512 Kbps to 2Mbps.

In UP Flipkart and Amazon usually do not ship goods of more than 5000 Rs because of certain state taxes.

And the stats u have posted are probably for wired connections, total internet users last year were ~350 millions and will cross 450 million at the end of the year,a quick google search will help you.
