Mate, it's not as much training, as it is maintenance. The subs. have been worked past their prime, they need to be replaced, but since there is a lot of delays in the manufacturing of the Scorpene subs. they are being used as we have no other options. This case is similar to the MIG-21 issue, where the IAF was/is still using them not because they want to, but because they have no other options.

We are still using 2 Agosta70s (upgraded recently) yet never faced such issues(hopefully never will ameen_.... while your subs are catching fire,exploding even after maintenance.... Russians ripped you off or what man?

Not really Russia's fault if the Sub. have hit their service life. You can only perform so much maintenance, in the end they have to be replaced. It's a good wake up call for the MoD to buy subs. off the shelf rather than wait for the Scorpene subs to get completed.
