India stood up for Iran?If Congress kills Iran deal, sanctions would lose India’s support:US

This would make sense if you replaced 'India' with 'Israel'. No country barring Israel has enough clout to influence US foreign policies.

There is no comparison between Israel and India. Similarly between the U.S and India. There are silly comparisons that people do on here that are flat out silly and naive. Now there is a very strong Indian lobby that we helped build unfortunately under the "strategic partnership" song. That lobby does play a huge role. If we can outsource millions of jobs without thinking about how it would impact our own system, we can also do interesting things with regards to India, and it's due to the lobby factor I mentioned in my previous posts. This doesn't in any way means that India is even close to Israel in influence. It just means India is using her influence to her advantage.

Is that what you gathered from my post, that I was comparing India and Israel? Did you see any words or terms of comparison being used? I'm not sure how to discourse when you completely miss the point in a simple, short post, and instead attack non existent strawmen.

I was only stating a plain fact that only Israel has enough clout to influence American foreign policy in any significant manner. Your assertions about India's "lobby" are way overstated.

Spare me the usual "This country or that country, which country bestest?" squabble that goes on here all the time. I have no interest in that.

Ironically, it is amusing that you say, "There are silly comparisons that people do on here that are flat out silly and naive. " when the only person who made it a comparison game is you. You are battling phantoms that you created yourselves in your mind.

It's all about economics.
In reality India has 'issues' with only 2 countries.
Rest, we can have our own policies which suits our nation. Similarly for Iran, having India on their side makes sense as it helps them in short to medium term to jump start things at their end.

it's a win win for both India and Iran. It's that simple!
