One could ask that what is the purpose of Education if your inhabitants have to work like slaves, in Gulf countries.

Marxist forgot one essential dictum of Economics. You need to create demand in order to supply. Their religious Zeal of murdering industries in cold blood had ensured that Kerala's youth would have transformed from an Uneducated and un-employed to Educated Unemployed. Gulf spoiled this marxist utopian dream.

i did not say that industrialization is bad.i said that economic growth must be converted in to a social development and i said that tamilnadu has done well in this front.no where did i mention kerala in my post.

This forum is for idiots  ..........and you fit right in.

Your ignorance is your burden and I have no desire to lighten it for you. You can google up all necessary data if you know how to use the internet dumbass.

With your level of ignorance even brain washing will be beneficial to you. You are not blind, just stupid. Hopefully it is a situation that can be corrected with the right amount of silence from you.

kid..thats an official report and i presented facts unlike ranting like u..and yeah its very much apparent who is stupid..nuff said..:smokin:

Yup ..... the person who thinks having a 100% hike in per capita income results in a 1000 % hike in HDI.

.
.
and..where did i mention that??states having lesser economic growth improved much better in hdi than gujarat.and the stats represent data from 96-2006.anyways..
one more report by united nations..
http://www.undp.org/content/dam/ind...human_development_index_for_indias_state1.pdf

anything more??:smokin:

 ....none of the data is for improvement, they only show current HDI rating. Nowhere does it show "rate of change" i.e. pace of improvement.

Clearly this is a concept you are unable to grasp.

HDI is a resultant factor of per capita Income, Health care availability, health care awareness, Education, social memory, Historical background, Geographical resources, Social memory, internal stability, external influence, economic environment etc..

If you had understood this you will not be grasping at economic growth indicators to figure out HDI.

these are the parameters they considered.

Infant Mortality Rate , Life Expectancy at age 1,7 + Literacy Rate, Mean Years of Education for 15+ age group, Estimated Earned Income per capita per annum.

and i repeat my statement.purpose of money to create more money is meaning less.it must be used to improve the social conditions of the people aswell.inspite of the growth rates and gdp of gujarat how far are they helping them to achieve development.i gave u the list of states which are no where near to the gdp of gujarat.but they improved a lot compared to the resources those states have access to.look at arunachal pradesh.they've done a commendable job despite of all the problems they have.gujarat has done well in economic front just like any south indian state with the exception of kerala.but it has a long way to go in development front.

Are you stupid ? .......do you even understand what you have read ?

Literacy is not just a matter of having schools.

1. A child of an uneducated man will have a higher chance of being uneducated.
2. If the school teacher is from a society that is bigoted or prejudiced he will not provide relevant education to the child.
3. If the society does not have the necessary respect of the teacher, the teacher would spend his time playing hooky from the school.
4. If the society does not respect education, they will make their school teachers do ther jobs like election poll agent, take surveys etc.
5. If a society is in a water scare zone, they kids go to collect water than go to school.
6. If the society is in a poor zone, the first priority of the kids is to scavenge something to eat rather than go to school. The parents too put up their kids to start earning for them.
7. If a society puts burden of dowry on girls then the boys in the family will be under more pressure to start making money than educate themselves. The girls themselves might not get opportunity to study more.
8. If a school does not have separate toilets for girls then girls drop out of school. Building toilets is a social and cultural issue.

I can go on an on .......now the same is true even for health care i.e. life expectancy.

Only increase in GDP cannot change any of this.

These require social, religious and cultural investments and corrections. Political parties cannot do this. BJP is trying to do this but gets called Communal in return.

If you still do not understand then god help you. Don't waste my time anymore.

Most people in Punjab are doing very well.Land prices are skyrocketing . One acre land which was 2.5 lakhs few years ago ..is now gone to 70 -80 lakh. Although current government is a bit corrupt, But still they are bringing up new roads , flyovers within a span of 7-8 months. My region in Bathinda has seen a lot of infrastructure lately. although I think they could do more specially in power sector. Bottom line is the only poor, I see here in Punjab are immigrants from UP or Bihar. oh and I am not saying that in a condescending way.

yara ive traveled Punjab extensively ,Phagwara jalandar,Nawasher,Ludhiana,Armritsar u name it. and still do. I know very well what the state of Punjab is ,ive spent much time in within the squalor of Punjab, its definitely not up there with the green states .

Haryana same thing.

time and again u prove ur comprehension skills.what i mean is spend the money on social issues aswell.spending money for the sake of earning more money is b.s.and care must be taken in not just economic issues but social issues aswell.
constructing industries is not sufficient.u must also construct toilets aswell.if teacher's quality is bad then train them, give them incentives,if water is a problem arange proper sewerage facilities and saniation facilities.if there is no awareness hten create it.constructing roads and buildings is not development..now did it glow in ur intelligent brain???or do u mean that gujarat is the most advance state on this planet and those industries are sufficient proof of human development.whats exactly ur point??social development is un necessary???

Its not the govt. jobs to build toilets for people. People are supposed to have enough sanitary sense to build it for themselves and their families.

However in a society where people do not have toilets in their homes, they will not build toilets in schools either.

Every panchayat is given enough funds to spend as they wish. They spend it on other items rather than build a sewage system. Why ? I don't know .....I am sure they have their own reasons..... but sure as hell Modi cannot do anything about this.

Building awareness takes generations. It cannot be done in 10 years. It takes 20 - 40 years. Sometimes 100's of years.

Political parties must stick to what they have been voted for ....i.e good governance.

Not reform society. Social reforms usually take place via Religious bodies. When political parties attempt that ....they are labeled COMMUNAL. Do you understand this simple fact ?

Modi can do what he can i.e. build roads, schools, power generating stations, responsive administration etc.... he cannot teach people to use the toilet.

dont teach me governance.i studied public administration.governance has come a long way from sole responsibility of providing security to providing welfare of people.ever heard of welfare state and why india is called a welfare state?martians wont do the task for us we elect govts to do the job?and whose talking about 10 years we got independence nearly 68 years back.i'm not speaking about modi.i'm speaking about gujarat.who ever formed the govts there its their fault to neglect them.what's all the taxes and growth rates for if not for providing welfare to the people??anyway if u are satisfied with the buildings and roads and expect nothing thats fine.i'm entitled to my opinion.u can not force ur opinion on me.there are better states which manage both economy and human development both together well.
