Iran is not a failed state & don't let other dictate their foreign policies..Why the hell would Iran fire mortar cause "India told them so"?
Every country works for own interest.If you open up to Iran or other countries they would reciprocate same way.

Indian STATE airliner is pre-emptively respecting a yet-non-existent request by an American fiance company because she is afraid it wouldn't get new loans from them?

1- there is no sanction yet
2- there is no request by the American finance companies yet
3- this is the STATE airliner of India so finance companies would kill to finance it. If Americans feel the need to boss you guys around you should look for another company and I'm convinced you'll find a lot of them
4- all other airliners are expanding their fleet to Iran

It is better to be cautious and observe the situation.
A few weeks delay is not a big thing.

Not that its very important for us but my question is that why would Indians cite "sanctions" as a reason? What does that have to do with anything? Are sanctions targeting counties who have direct flights to Tehran?
Even if they did, why would India be the only country to take action for it?
We're at a time when everyone is trying to establish ties with Iran specifically after the nuclear deal.
But India feels the need to do the exact opposite?
Why?
We need cooperation now more than ever. We need expansion of bilateral ties and we definitely need expansion of tourism to help both of our economies

As far as my understanding goes India will not undermine her relations with Iran. We were able to withstand previous sanctions and there is nothing as yet to indicate a policy change. As regards to reconsideration of airlines' plans to conduct direct flights to Iran could at best be a commercial decision and such decisions are beyond the purview of the government. Remember how the global stock market reacted to Trumps election. Trump too is feeling pressured by his own election promises and he deserves at least 3-4 months to settle down in his new role and understand the nuances of international politics. Americans are more stressed about him than the world.

Saudis have stood with us in our bad times ,and employ 2 million + Pakistanis and the biggest or second biggest source of Remittances.
What significance Iran has for us? No sunni Pakistani can find employment in Iran.
The shia only go to fight in Syria being branded "Zainabiyoon" . If at all very few Pakistanis are employed in Iran.

Pakistanis have no says on this as Pakistan also does not have any direct flight by Pakistani airlines to Iran.
PIA stopped flights to Zahedan in October 2013 and to Mashhad in September 2014.
Iconair had plans for flights to Iran but that got cancelled.
