India snubs China, to attend Nobel ceremony

The India government is aware of this but none of the other members here are smart enough to figure out it or honest enough to admit it.

Indian citizens r as much aware as its govt, but the problem is that Chinese citizens not ready to accept,After attacking india through diplomatic lines, they still believe India can b persuaded for a china favored settlement or the chinese ideology of peace

It is a nascent demonstration of world opinion behind China. This, in a world which has always been hostile more or less.

No nation is free from that,at least some one is bound to show hostility with other,India is not at all an exception, that is the world order, that is bound to happen

You just answered your own question. Because we do not like India, and this action was just an unsurprising continuation of a typical mentality.

Thanks for the other thread by the way. :azn:

Off-Topic:CD, some of us have been trying to contact you but I think your profile is erroneously linked to a Chinese Dragon (he only has 10 posts). I think we've been posting messages to the wrong guy. Do me a favor if you don't mind, try adding me to your friend list.

Yeah there is a bug in the system, it is trying to link to the other Chinese Dragon.

No need to PM me though, I don't think there is really much to say on the matter.

If you're going participate in an argument it helps if you know what the topic was.

This is my initial post
Here's my arrogant prediction. The reform process will drag on for at least another 5 years or so. The whole time, the west will wave this trinket in front of India to get it to do as it is told and when India finally gets a seat it will be a non-veto permanent seat in a batch with several other countries in a much expanded UNSC, where a regular (non-veto) seat will mean a hell of a lot less than it does even now.

This is not far from the truth.

India is aware of this and therefore shall go ahead & do what suits its own national interests.

Please do keep up if you want a reply to your question/statements. I want to keep the debate as coherent as possible.

You're welcome to comment along the lines of that discussion.

Mr Varghese, it is a big deal. India being there may just be a symbolic gesture, but the intention behind that symbolic gesture means a lot.

which symbolic gesture china like to display by blocking UN ban on terror groups responsible for mumbai attack....

de facto-in practice but not necessarily ordained by law

So basically Russian and French votes r currently acting as indian de facto votes

Really???? Do you really really believe that?

How many times has Russia or France exercised its veto for India? What kind of guarantee will India have that these two countries will continue to exercise their veto on India's behalf??

India have good diplomatic relation's with Norway,by abstaining from this function only after Chinese call, does not mean straining relation's with a friend?
