India snubs China, to attend Nobel ceremony

Possible but you and your friends would not be considered representative of ordinary chinese, would you? Just the same as my opinion would not be representative of all Indians.

If 98% of the Chinese were happy, why is the state still jailing dissidents? Are they worried that the opinion of satisfaction is merely ephemeral & might bring on a flood when tested?

Of course we don't claim to represent anyone else, but you would know better what Chinese people think having never been there or speak the language ?

I have no idea who Hafiz Sayeed is, so I don't think I can respond to that question.

Secondly if China is supporting Pakistan then that is perfectly natural to us, considering that we are allies.

You are allies, but don't know about the biggest charitable trust (JUD) of Pakistan!!! Your army will be working hand in glove with their members in rehabilitating flood victims...no???

I have heard of the JuD only yesterday in that other thread.

I don't know why you would think that Chinese people would know about such things, what does the politics of the subcontinent matter to us in our daily lives?

Well then you've just loss credibility with the Indian members here, prepare to get accused of being Wu Mao Dang...

Either he is lying or my picture of CCP members is overestimated(as always) one :D

I thought Nomenclature fit as CCP member, considering how diplomatic and knowledged he/she sounds.

I didn't claim that. Unnecessary but with the way you guys have gone on on this thread, guess it's par for the course. With that point of view, I guess you & your fellow countrymen won't be discussing anytime soon, matters relating to India.

In any case, I'm done here. Thank you for your time.

Big.Tree is a cranky grandpa :D (respect to you sir)
not every member is equally diplomatic.

So, CCP members have greater performance than the Indian elite, I think that there is no doubt.

yes of course. CCP leadership has done better for china compared to what GOI has done. but there are many complex reasons for that.
but the good thing is a rising china and proactive indian public has put GOI under greater pressure to perform. the recent Bihar elections are a prime example of the good things to come for India.

Same to you sir.

And no I have never questioned the support Indians have for their government.

Just curious, what happened with the Bihar elections?

caste politics were completely shunned by the voting public. a long time dominant party was utterly demolished and the last govt which focused on development came to power in a land slide majority.
Bihar was considered to be one of the most corrupt and backward states in india. it registered a 11%(IIRC) growth rate because of the last govt.

edit: actually it was 18% growth rate making it the fastest growing state in India.
