India should keep scriptures out of science

Hindu creation myth. The tortoise supports elephants to hold the world, encircled by a snake

I have personally met & spoken to the lady in the video above. She's explaining scientifically why a common man can find it difficult & stressful to open the third eye. She explains what are the ways to open it, basic details & secrets very few people share.

There have been allusions from the spokesmen of the BJP and its mother organisation, RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), that IVF, for instance, had been widely practised in those distant times. Teleportation, too, a wildly popular mode of transport of the saints. Not to mention planes (as in Ravan’s use of Pushpak Viman to abduct Sita in Ramayana) or the use of nuclear missiles (as in the bow and arrow battles between Arjun and Ashwathama in Mahabharata).

We will do whatever we want in our country .
World accepts Yoga , so in time they will also accept our tradition

I have a simple question. All this talk of brilliant ancient technologies, where are they now?? For example, how about their use in space travel?? India should have been the world leader in spaceship design.

Have you noticed how mankind's understanding, use and innovation in technology suddenly went off the charts post the industrial revolution ? Because the world is moving into a higher realm, our potential is being unleashed..

similarly, there could have been downward trends in our understanding, use and innovation in technology.. it is possible humanity was highly advanced in the ancient past thousands of years ago.

not talking about India or "Hinduism" here btw.. but you lefties keep finding the one thing some low iq rss zealot said and obsess over it endlessly trying to build a case.

in any case, vimanas and other stuff in the ancient vedic texts are more interesting than some arab savage flying away on a donkey lol

Yup.Ancient means 5000 years plus old.
And every civilization will met degradation some times .
Same happened that time.

1. Vedic times are not older than 3000+ years, so saying "thousands of years" is technically true but factually incorrect.

2. Yes but when an entire government quotes some old texts, where is the backing proof coming from??

3. If there was a downward trend, there would still be some remainder proof of some technology's existence. So where is it??

I doubt any leftie will obsess over what RSS zealots say but it is a concern when national governments promote the zealots' POV.

The point is no government in a Muslim-majority country will promote the vision of an "Arab savage flying away on a donkey or horse" as the example for space-travel or aviation. Even a GCC country like UAE has a modern space agency.

And I don't find vimanas and other vedic stuff interesting. I find Elon Musk's vision interesting.

bhai, let me preface my reply by saying I'm not the most religious person out there, to put it mildly.

1. I'm not interested in debating that because it will derail the broader point. (not running away, but maybe in another thread ?)

2. You guys have taken that particular Modi quote about plastic surgery completely out of context.. I'm not informed enough to speak from a point of view of some authority on the subject but as far as I know...

Shiva is not some big blue man sitting on a mountain with a river flowing from his head... that whole image is just a representative of some very deep philosophical esoteric concepts.... I will not pretend to know what it all means, I have no idea lol

but, it is our heritage and our culture, even for the Abrahamists, even for the Sallafis who live (and thrive) here... we should respect it, avoid the low iq jihadis and bajrang dal and soul harvesters' narrative.

I too don't want to dwell over the past. On this forum you will see me countering the mullah types.

We should all see what we can do about the problems in the present and a vision for the future.

Religious stuff is to please the jobless conservatives and the older generation.
As long as modern science and technology is being promoted (like large scale solar parks), you can't really blame the government.

The masses are gullible enough to be swayed by superstitions. Real change is being brought about by the visionaries, the industrialists, the professionals, the middle class.

Carl Edward Sagan was an American astronomer, cosmologist, astrophysicist, astrobiologist, author, science popularizer, and science communicator in astronomy and other natural sciences. He wrote many popular science books, such as The Dragons of Eden, Broca's Brain and Pale Blue Dot, and narrated and co-wrote the award-winning 1980 television series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage. The below video is based on the same TV series.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Sagan

Sagan was associated with the U.S. space program from its inception. From the 1950s onward, he worked as an advisor to NASA, where one of his duties included briefing the Apollo astronauts before their flights to the Moon. Sagan wrote frequently about religion and the relationship between religion and science, expressing his skepticism about the conventional conceptualization of God as a sapient being.

Most of the scientists read or refer the Hindu scriptures for their scientific work, because it's the only scripture, which gives a totally contrast & independent view of physics & science, which no other religious scriptures has. There are still many things still not proven by science, but is already explained in the scriptures of India, thousands of years ago. It's these scientific information in the scriptures which baffles many scientists across the world, which makes most researchers to take these Hindu scriptures as a referral guide to their research.

The Hindu scriptures & practices are being researched from the last 200 years. Our holy places & scriptures were burnt by the invaders. The Britishers took away all the scriptures from India & tried to impose Christianity & Aryan theory due to the jealousy that a brown race cannot be superior to the white race & cannot be accepted as their ancestors. Reason was our scriptures proved factually & scientifically vast variety of things with far more authenticity & detail & to their surprise most are proven accurate.. This is the reason you see Sanskrit learning in many western countries. It's only to interpret these important stolen scriptures. Apart from our normal holy scriptures, there were many other ancient Arts, Mathematics, Health, Science & many other Sanskrit books which were completely taken away from India by the British.

Because other so-called scriptures are about religion.
Winnie the Pooh for instance is not a science manual.

Different strokes, Tay.
